Meet Stephanie Fugazzi | Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Fugazzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I think if my parents knew how I would be, they may have named me ” Risk”! haha
Risk an essential part of growth. I see risk as an opportunity rather than something to be feared. In hindsight, life itself is a series of risks; while some choose the path of least resistance, its often those that embrace the more challenging options that achieve the greatest results.
I remember being at a low point in my life, and receiving an unexpected call. Offering me the chance to style and sponsor one of Colorados Pro dance teams within just two days. Despite the challenges, I said yes, knowing this point could be a turning point. It was a vital moment in my career that showed me there was so much more to hairstyling than just cut and coloring.
It was about creating transformative experiences and building connections that go beyond the chair.
This risk was the catalyst that propelled me into runway shows, editorial shoots, educating nationally and broader world of opportunities I hadn’t explored yet.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think one thing that sets me apart is my relentless hunger for passion and growth. After over two decades in the industry, I still feel the excitement of seeking out new challenges and pushing my creative boundaries. I never want to feel stagnant- each new project is an opportunity to innovate, learn, and elevate my craft. I am most proud of my ability to adopt, evolve and grow.
I got to where I am today by saying yes, yes to every opportunity, I tried everything, did everything and made it a point to be present everywhere I could. Growing a business as a full time single mother of 2 was one of my biggest challenges. Finding the balance between being fully present in my career and at home, required immense dedication and sometimes breaks and gaps in projects to be with my kids. I learned from everything and everyone around me. Along the way I made meaningful connections with incredibly inspiring people who helped shaped my journey. The biggest lesson Ive learned is staying true to yourself and who you are. This industry can be tough; sometimes the support you give others isn’t always reciprocated. But there is room for everyones success so smile and embrace every challenge.
My brand is reflection of my journey, passion and commitment to growth. It stands for authenticity, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to helping others feel their best. My story is one of resilience, learning and staying true to myself in an ever-evolving industry. It’s about showing up, doing the work and believing that there’s room for everyone to succeed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great things to see and do in Colorado, I think as a first generation native sometimes you overlook them!

Followed by a stroll through the RiNO Art District to check out street art and galleries. We could do an evening show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Colorado is known for its mountains! Day 3: Morning drive to Boulder for a morning hike at Chautauqua Park for stunning views of the flatirons. Have lunch ar The boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, such a peaceful spot. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Pearl Street Mall. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shout-out to my parents, whose unwavering support has been a cornerstone of my journey. Being a full time single mom of 2, they have always been there to care for my children! Allowing me to chase opportunities nationally or even late nights without a worry.
I also want to give a huge shout out to my friend Cassie, who handed me the sponsorship opportunity that became the cornerstone to my career. Cassie has always been a source of inspiration for me. Watching her innovate has been a driving source to my career.
Most importantly I want to extend a heartfelt thank you/shout out to my guests/clients. Whose unwavering support has been the bedrock of my journey. Their trust in me with their hair, their willingness to follow me from city to city, some even driving over an hour or booking a plane ticket just to see me. Their loyalty and encouragement keep me motivated every day and I am deeply grateful for their continued support.
