We had the good fortune of connecting with Tabitha Clotiaux and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tabitha, how do you think about risk?
I am all about taking calculated risks. I was raised by two very cautious parents who taught us to weigh the pros and cons of every option before making a final decision. When an opportunity presents itself, whether it’s for personal or business growth, I ask myself, ‘Why do I want to do this? What do I want to accomplish? What are possible obstacles and how would I move past them?’ I also make a point to work through the emotional stages and anxiety that comes with risk taking, then I sleep on it–always sleep on it! Once I have those answers and am confident in moving forward, I then ask myself, ‘How can I make this happen? ‘

If I have taught my kids anything, it is that it’s ok to take risks. I would rather them take a chance and fail rather than not take a chance at all. If thought out properly, odds are that you will succeed. I’ve taken calculated risk throughout my life and each time it has been a wonderful experience. Some of my best adventures have been through taking risks!

What should our readers know about your business?
Evolve into Wellness is a massage and chiropractic business that is owned and operated by women who share the common passion of helping people heal and restore their bodies in a holistic way. We pride ourselves on our quality of service, as well as making everyone who walks through our doors feel heard, valued, cared for, and safe. These values are what sets us apart from other studios, and it has helped us to gain the consistent following that we have had throughout the years. We could not be more appreciative of every single person that has, and continues to, support us and our mission.

I have always known that I wanted to start my own massage business, but life always had other ideas. Before I opened Evolve, I contracted with chiropractic offices throughout the years which eventually led to meeting Dr. Rebecca Horton. We quickly bonded over our common beliefs in healing and our ideas of what client care should be, and our friendship blossomed from there. Once I decided to take the leap and venture out on my own, I could not think of a better person to join forces with. Evolve into Wellness would not be what it is today without her.

Nevertheless, the process of getting here was not easy. It has taken years of cultivating a vision, setting small goals, putting a plan together, and ultimately having the devotion to follow through with it all. Throughout this process, the biggest lesson that I have learned is to have patience, especially with myself. It takes a lot of time and energy to make your dreams a reality, and it is important to allow yourself time to rest. If I have any additional advice to give, it’s don’t give up! In the mean time, take a breath then start again, no matter how many tries it takes. Your ideas and dreams are always worth fighting for.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends and I are foodies, so our week would mainly consist of trying new restaurants and cafes. But, a few of my go-to spots are Sweet Basilico Cafe in Estes Park, Big Mac & Lil Lou’s in Westminster, City O’ City in Denver, and The Fox Den: No Waste Cafe & Roastery in Fort Collins.

When in Colorado, it’s a must to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. It is the perfect place to pack a picnic then spend the day hiking, watching wildlife, and meditating by the many lakes and streams. When we are feeling extra adventurous, I always suggest white water rafting in Royal George. However, it is also fun to have a relaxing day taking the aerial gondola and walking across the bridge. I also love taking people up the Guanella Pass in George Town.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have always had an entrepreneur’s heart and mindset. Through all of my endeavors, my two daughters and husband have been my biggest supporters and fans. They each play a huge roll in cultivating ideas, decision making, and calming me during the stressful times. I truly could not do it without their love and support.
