We had the good fortune of connecting with Tati Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tati, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create a brand that embodied beauty from the inside and out while making it affordable for people to buy. Brands nowadays focus more on profit than having a clear and impactful message behind the brand. My brand Avenue Angel is affordable, comfortable streetwear that focuses on spiritual and mental health while being swaggy all at the same time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my clothing line Avenue Angel to bring like-minded people together. The name Avenue Angel is a mix of both worlds spiritual and streetwear. Avenue Angel basics all have angel numbers on their backs that represent spiritual health and guidance. There have been two drops since the start of this brand in 2023. Each drop is inspired by a different element for example the upcoming drop that will be showcased in Hawaii fashion Show is inspired by Rugrats. Each drop will focus on something new and unique. 10% of all profit goes to mental health charities around the world that are chosen yearly by the brand. When people think of Avenue Angel, I want people to understand and appreciate the message behind the brand itself and focus less on the clothing items.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anywhere we can take photos and eat. Denver selfie museum would be a needed stop lol. If we were staying in Denver, we’d go to an art walk and have to go to the mall and spend way too much time inside. I enjoy quiet aesthetic places like libraries and small coffee shops, so I’d need to go downtown Colorado Springs and bring them to Poor Richards or Tattered Cover. I love talking and meeting new people and more than that I enjoy learning, so any environment where I can learn something and get a good laugh, we’ll most likely be there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give all the credit for my continued success to my family and friends. They are the behind-the-scenes magic to producing what I’ve built thus far. In my opinion, there is no stronger bond than family.
