We had the good fortune of connecting with Tay Sisinni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tay, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started planning parties for my family. First was my dad’s 60th that was Bruce Springsteen themed. The next was my older brother’s 30th which was National Park themed. After multiple family members told me I should do it professional, I took the leap and created Tay Plans Parties. In March of 2020, I launched my website. I’ve done a couple weddings. It definitely wasn’t the best time to launch a company that brings people together but will be a great beginning story.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
All artists have their own styles. I personally love to experiment with multiple mediums. In high school, I used oil as one of my first mediums. There were pros and cons to it. But I think my heart belongs to Acrylic. One of my first paintings I was proud of was called Waterfall Secrets. It has many elements that each individual focuses on. One person saw it as a coconut. Others a waterfall or a silhouette of a woman. I always wanted to own a business. The freedom to set my own deadlines and most importantly creative control. Being an artist/creative has not been easy. There is a huge risk that your business will fail. I started both Tay Plans Parties and Mischievous Sticker Co. during a pandemic. Both brands compliment each other well. The world should know that this little lady (loosely used) is a character that created both businesses with the motivation to use my creative super powers to the finest. Watch out Long Island, Tay is here.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout to all my family members, and friends. They created such a supportive environment that I am extremely grateful for. An important shoutout to my pop-pop. He always told me that I was a “character” and ‘they threw out the mold when they made me”. It made me realize that I don’t want to be like anyone else but create a different path that will be my own. I want to thank the woman I talked to on the line at a F.I.T party, who became one of my close friends in college, Juli. Juli I am grateful for our journey and the long winding road it took us. Both entrepreneurs creating our own brands.
