We had the good fortune of connecting with Teri Fox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I practiced Dru Yoga for seven years before becoming a Certified instructor. I felt the shift in myself from using these techniques to better my life. I will never forget how free and peaceful I felt after my first class. Before Dru Yoga found me, I rushed through everything. Dru Yoga helped me to slow down, and appreciate the Subtle beauties of all life.

I knew deep within that I was meant to share the gift of Dru and help guide others to a better way of living. Dru Yoga is not as widely known as other styles, because it combines elements from ancient traditions like Qigong, Tai Chi, and Hatha Yoga. That uniqueness meant I would need to help educate the world about what Dru truly is.

That’s the risk I was willing to take—because I know Dru Yoga has the potential to transform lives and, ultimately, help change the world into a more peaceful and balanced place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Dru Yoga is a work of art.
To me, it is not just a practice—it’s an expressive, living meditation that allows me to share my voice and help others reconnect with their authentic selves.

What makes Dru Yoga unique in my teaching is the powerful integration of intention, breath, and movement. Each class becomes a flowing meditation in motion, designed to ground the body, uplift the spirit, and quiet the mind.

Through this practice, I’ve manifested my own goals and witnessed my dreams come to life. Dru Yoga has deepened my love for life, breath by breath—and my greatest joy is guiding others to do the same. My goal is to help individuals release the thoughts, patterns, or behaviors that no longer serve them, so their truest, most radiant selves can shine fully in this world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to see Garden of the God’s, and show them some of the trails that are not as well known, enjoying that this place feels so sacred, with its unique rock formations, and beautiful foliage.

I would treat them to coffee at Amano coffee shop in Kittridge, where we can sit by the river and enjoy nature, while sipping the best latte I have ever had, every time it’s perfect.

I would take them on a bike ride through Brear Creek Lake Park, and enjoy the trees and the river that flows through it, as we take a rest from biking.

I would take them to Evergreen, where we walk by the beautiful lake, and enjoy artwork from the Evergreen Arts Center.

I would take them to Bailey Colorado, to the Blossoming Boutique, where many unique artists and local businesses sell their products, along with Trina’s wonderful plant selection, grown with her love.

Afterward we would enjoy the Historic McGraw Park, where the Park County Historic Society has all sorts of cabins and even a caboose from an old train that you can tour inside, and learn the history of Colorado. All the cabins were moved there from all over the state, where you can truly have a history lesson of Colorado.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A special thanks to the Dru Yoga Worldwide team – Nanna Coppens, Christiane, Andrew Wells, Padma, Janey, Nilke, Chandra, and so many others have all been such wonderful teachers on my journey. I would especially like to thank my dearest friend and mentor Deb Housman. She has been a Dru Yoga Teacher for over 20 years, and she teaches with so much heart, and joy. She was my first Dru Teacher. I have her to thank, for how I put so much heart into my personal practice, and my teaching.
