We had the good fortune of connecting with Terry Pierce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terry, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Bianca e Nero was established in 1999 on a simple premise: why should only the bigger companies have strategically and creatively sound marketing?

But it turned out It’s not so much the size of a client we are interested in, but their willingness to embrace solutions that push the envelope of today’s advertising and marketing world. We find small and mid-size clients are more willing to do this. They are entrepreneurial in spirit, because there is so much more at stake. Their smaller budgets need to work harder, so they must be more creative in their marketing approach. It’s less about eye candy and more about capturing the consumers’ hearts, minds and loyalty. Our clients understand how important it is to build a solid relationship with customers, and they realize getting their marketing message noticed is an integral part of doing so. but over the years much larger companies have taken notice of the agency

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Bianca e Nero, is a boutique strategic and creative agency, which is very rare for an agency our size to be equally committed and skilled in both.

Each project starts with a discovery process that goes deep into understanding all sides of our clients business, and those they seek to engage only then do we create a unique marketing campaign born from a strategy.

The challenges we have faced in past years have mostly been around persuade bigger clients they don’t need a big agency, but an agency with big ideas and fresh approaches which as very little to do with size of staff. the good news there’s seem to be a shift in recent year where bigger clients are moving more towards assembling a “dream team” of sorts, accounts aren’t solely handled by one agency, but by several firms with speicalized disciples, we have clients seeking us out for a wide variety of creative and strategic services. we like to do work that hits a nerve, regardless the size of the client.

We tackle project of all sizes and complexities our capabilities range from
Advertising
Brand strategy
Brand personality
Research/Discovery
Branding Identity
Corporate Identity (logo)
Positioning
Naming
Website design and development
Package design
Collateral (marketing materials)
Trade Booth design

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado is a great place to live, lots todo and see many adventures await. My family are huge foodies so would definitely share our quest to seek out the best tacos around, Denver has to offer with our visitors, we would also explore a few new ones and share a few of our favorites like Adelitas Cantina, or Culinary Dropout which is also a place we like, and really appreciate the creativity, and maybe swing by Little Man ice cream after which is always a crowd pleaser. We also enjoy the theater and have been enjoying getting out again and enjoy live performances again after the pandemic.

Speaking of live performances Dazzle is also a place we love and visit frequently (live jazz is the best), Museum of Nature and Science brings back great memories of when my girls were young and and visited often still a go-to. Botanical Garden, relaxing the grass after picking up a few sandwiches from Elita (Stanley’s Market) while enjoy music is something we enjoy and not a bad way to spend an evening.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our clients range from start-ups, public health, cybersecurity, aerospace, real estate, banking, private equity, transcription, beauty and wellness, woodworking, etc they all have one thing in common they are open to something different and can work with any agency but choose to work with Bianca e Nero, I would like to thank them all for giving the agency their trust, support and freedom to roam and explore unexpected and predictable solutions.

The agency works with a large swath of talented people, copy writers, designers, web developers, proofreaders and photographers, etc., we consider them to be amount the best around and have consistently played a huge part in helping to bring Bianca e Nero’s clients brands to life and creating some very memorable campaigns along the way.

I would personally like to thank the following people for all their hard work and commitment to our clients.

Cesar Maldonado, Jay Roth, Judith Schwartz, Erik Oberhausen and Jeff Navarro, and Brad Todd.

Equally important are my family, wife Berni who never wavers in her support even when my ideas seem pretty wacky she’s a software engineer so we approach problem solving in different ways, that logical approach has served me well over the years also my two daughters Alex and Michael they continue to inspire me to be better, while they are grownups (one wrapping up graduate school and the other just finishing undergrad, looking to start grad school here soon) our bond remains strong and they bring balance to my life and work helping me to keep it all in perspective.
