We had the good fortune of connecting with Thaicha Bazile and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Thaicha, how do you define success?
I would define success as never giving up no matter what, taking risks and standing behind what you believe in. I believe that being successful isn’t defined by the amount of money you make in your business but what you actually gain. For example I can make a million dollars in a year but if I can’t remain humble and know that money can be gone in a blink of an eye then I’m not as successful as I think. There are times when business will be slow but if I keep pushing I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. When it comes to taking risks, as a business owner you have to take that leap of faith and do something whether you know if it will work out or not. One should stand behind their brand no matter what and find ways to better it, without letting anyone discourage you from what you believe in.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TB Butterflyeffex was created to honor the story of a Haitian American woman who wanted to bring not only beauty, but diversity to the cosmetic industry. As a young girl, when I thought about being beautiful I automatically associated that image with super models, just like a long silk haired Barbie that I often played with. Barbie was beautiful to me as she was generally deemed a flawless beauty.

Fast forward to the 21st century, this once girl no longer sees beauty as I depicted it during my childhood. I recognize and appreciate different skin tones, hair textures, eye colors, as well as lip shapes. Yes, now that’s BEAUTY! “All things beauty.”

I’m most proud of my resilience to push new products out. I get excited every time a light bulb goes off in my head with a new product to release.

It was not easy getting to where I’m at today but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. With patience, prayer, and self reflection I was able to overcome a lot of the obstacles that was thrown my way.

One lesson I’ve learned along the way is to stop comparing my success within my business with others. Everyone’s journey is different and we all walk different paths in life.

I want the world to know that TB ButterflyEffex is here to stay and here to uplift everyone’s confidence by enhancing their beauty!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Although there are so many breathtaking sceneries in Denver my top picks would definitely be Downtown Denver, The View House for brunch, Red Rocks, Garden Of The Gods and the Mountains.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a special shoutout to the ones who have always been there to help me through my struggles, failures, sleepless nights, success, and all the emotions that comes with entrepreneurship, first and foremost the most high God, my mother, my father, and my best friend! Without them I don’t know where I would be.
