Hi Thierry, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk-taking is an integral part of my approach to life and career. I view risk not as a threat, but as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Throughout my life and career, I’ve embraced challenges that required stepping out of my comfort zone, whether it was pursuing a new career path, starting a business, or taking on ambitious projects.

Taking risks has played a crucial role in shaping my character and fostering resilience. Each challenge, even if it resulted in failure, provided valuable lessons and insights. I believe that without the willingness to take risks, personal and professional development can become stagnant. It’s through overcoming challenges that we discover our strengths, learn from our mistakes, and adapt to changing circumstances.

In my current role as the Senior Product Manager for Secure Software Supply Chain (S3C) at Microsoft, I am entrusted with a mission-critical responsibility—to fortify Microsoft’s supply chain and safeguard the security of our customers. This position places me at the forefront of the evolving landscape of software development and security.

My primary focus revolves around strategic planning, product development, and the implementation of robust security measures throughout the software supply chain. The goal is not only to meet current cybersecurity challenges but also to anticipate and proactively address emerging threats. In essence, I am dedicated to ensuring that the software we deliver is not only innovative but also fundamentally secure.

This role inherently involves a calculated approach to risk-taking. Securing a software supply chain requires a forward-thinking mindset, the ability to navigate uncertainties, and a commitment to implementing cutting-edge security solutions. Given the dynamic nature of cybersecurity, I am actively engaged in staying informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance our security posture continually.

Drawing from my previous leadership roles, particularly at HP, I bring a wealth of experience in orchestrating complex projects, managing teams, and implementing effective security measures. My tenure at HP, where I led the design and architecture of Z Workstation Platforms, equipped me with a solid foundation in addressing challenges and driving innovation—qualities that I carry forward into my current role at Microsoft.

In essence, my approach to risk-taking remains grounded in a commitment to excellence and a belief that by proactively addressing challenges, we can not only secure our software supply chain but also contribute to raising the industry’s security standards. Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I appreciate the opportunity to share more about my business journey and aspirations. As the founder of multiple startups, each venture has been a unique and enriching experience that has shaped my entrepreneurial spirit.

What sets my businesses apart is a relentless commitment to innovation and a keen focus on addressing real-world challenges. I take pride in fostering a culture of creativity and forward thinking, where each team member is encouraged to bring their unique perspectives to the table.

Getting to where I am today has been a journey marked by both triumphs and challenges. The entrepreneurial path is seldom easy, and overcoming challenges has required resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning. I’ve faced hurdles ranging from market uncertainties to operational complexities, but each challenge has been a valuable lesson in resilience and problem-solving.

One of the key lessons learned is the importance of surrounding oneself with a skilled and dedicated team. Building a business is a collaborative effort, and the synergy within the team has been a driving force behind our successes. I’ve also come to appreciate the significance of adaptability – the ability to pivot, iterate, and evolve based on market dynamics and customer feedback.

In terms of my brand and story, I want the world to know that innovation and a passion for making a positive impact are at the core of what I do. Whether it’s developing cutting-edge solutions or contributing to the growth of an industry, my aim is to leave a lasting mark that transcends conventional boundaries.

Absolutely, Fort Collins, Colorado, is a vibrant city with a rich culture, delicious local cuisine, and exciting activities. Here’s a suggested itinerary for a week-long trip, catering to your interests in great food, local experiences, and climbing:

Day 1-2: Old Town Exploration
Morning: Start your trip with a stroll through Old Town Fort Collins. Enjoy breakfast at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, known for its delicious and innovative breakfast options.
Afternoon: Explore the charming boutiques, art galleries, and unique shops in Old Town. Grab lunch at The Silver Grill Cafe, a local favorite for its cozy atmosphere and comfort food.
