We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Zach and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tim, what do you attribute your success to?
I would say the most Important factor behind the sucess Ive had as an artist is being a genuine person and showing appreciation to the people on my team. In the music world you put alot of trust in the people you suround yourself with and over the years I’ve been blessed to develop good relationships with several very talented hard working people.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I started persuing a career as a country music artist i was 30 years old. It almost happened by accident. I cut my teeth singing in Karaoke bars which led to me sending a demo in to try out for what at the time was known as the “Colgate Country Showdown”. I was selected to compete and made it 3 rounds into the competition. During that time I had also been rehearsing with a group of guys to start a band to play some live shows. I look back now and would never have dreamed I would have had the opportunity to play on some of the stages we’ve played on. over the last 12 years Ive gotten to play at huge festivals, fairs, arenas, and in 2015 we played in Las Vegas at the PBR World Finals (Professional Bullriding Event). One of the things that I’m most proud of is that I have built my brand from the ground up. I have played music for half empty bars and Ive played packed out venues. I feel I have earned loyal fans by going out every show and giving them everything I have every single night whether there are 10 people or 10,000 people. If you bought a ticket, I owe it to you to give you the best I got.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have played the Grizzly Rose in Denver a few times and that has been alot of fun. I think I would invite them to come hang out with me there and listen to some really great music! I hope to get back to the Rose for a show again sometime soon!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Team!! It takes an army to make the machine run. Everyone from my amazing wife and 3 sons who are my biggest fans and supporters, the band members Ive had the pleasure to share the stage with over the years, Producers who have helped shape the music, radio stations who so graciously give our songs a platform to be heard, photographers and videographers that i get to work with on shoots, booking agents and venues who have given me and my band a place to showcase our music, The people who help with the merch, and most of all the fans who spend there hard earned money to come to shows!!
