Hi Tonjeria, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my business is that I take immense pride in how far my business has grown over the years, and I’m continually inspired by the confidence I’ve gained along the way. Despite having a small team, my strong work ethic and tenacious personality consistently set me apart in this competitive industry. It’s this unwavering dedication that allows me to deliver exceptional results and a truly personalized experience for every client.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
To be honest, I’ve always known that I had a creative mind. What I didn’t realize was just how far my talents could take me. I started my interior design business, Touched Interior by Tonjeria, in 2021 with no formal educational background—just a vision and my iPad. It’s been quite a journey, but I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity that has come my way over the years.

One of the defining elements of my business is the 3D E-design board. It’s a staple of my innovative process, allowing me to bring my ideas to life visually. This tool has been especially beneficial for clients who live out of state and need a more flexible approach to their design needs.

I am now four years in the game, and if my path taught me anything, it’s that stepping out on faith can take you further than you ever imagined. I truly believe there’s always room for growth and improvement, and my ultimate goal is to become one of the most prominent interior designers in South Florida.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Miami native, I’ve had the privilege of encountering the most beautiful and diverse people from countries all around the world. Miami truly is a melting pot, bursting with vibrant cultures and flavors from Bahamian, Jamaican, Haitian, Venezuelan, Cuban, Dominican, Nigerian communities—you name it!

The city is a food lover’s paradise, offering a plethora of authentic dining experiences in iconic areas like Downtown Miami, Little Haiti, Little Havana, Calle Ocho, Overtown, Liberty City, South Miami, and Wynwood. Each neighborhood has its own unique charm and cultural richness, making Miami a city like no other.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I’d have to dedicate my shoutout to my Mom,Dad, Siblings, and close friends who have supported me since the very beginning. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have fueled my determination, especially during the moments when I doubted myself. They are my biggest cheerleaders! I’d like to shout out to my Godmother, and every mentor and inspiration I’ve encountered along the way. Lastly, I also want to recognize my clients—those who trusted me with their spaces and allowed me to express my creativity in ways I never imagined. Each project has taught me something new and pushed me to grow, both personally and professionally.

All these influences have shaped my journey and the growth of Touched Interior by Tonjeria. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
