We had the good fortune of connecting with Tymbre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tymbre, how do you think about risk?
Without risk there is no true action. Remaining stagnant can happen very easily, especially if sitting in certain comforts too long. One can ponder and think about something all day but until that thought or notion is acted on or risk taken, you will never truly know the outcome of a desired affirmation or goal.
If I did not take risk in any form I would not be where I am today. Taking risks may come with pushback, sleepless nights and progress may feel slow but through perseverance and the act of intentional output, falling into the end goal is where relief and growth cannot be obtained without taking a leap.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Professionally you can catch me making art and tattooing at my private studio Blùm Tattoo (BLOOM) in Fort Collins as well as guesting locally in other shops!
I am super stoked to be available to create for people and myself.
I feel like art is subjective and changes through perspective for everyone.
My description of my art could be totally different than how someone else may describe it but if I had to say stylistically; I lean towards bold american traditional tattooing, neo traditional, illustrative, symmetrical/mandala dotwork, ornamental as well as the darker sides of some things. I enjoy both color tattoos and black and grey and!!
I would like to say I don’t want to box myself in and subject myself to a specific style and want to have the ability to tattoo in many styles as well as represent my art in many styles into one big mesh effort.
I want to break my own personal art barriers while following certain tradition but also keeping true to my self in trying to evolve whatever it is that I may doing better every time.
Categorically I really dig tattooing aspects of nature, flowers alllll day, bugs, mandalas, mementos, ornamental pieces etc. always up for a challenge as well. Growing and elevating to new levels keeps me going.
More than art though I want to build community and a space to create for people who want to adorn themselves in art comfortably.
I would love to broaden my art and grow wherever I can. I am most excited about growth in all aspects of myself and business.
I am thankful to have a nice private safe space to tattoo out of not only for myself but for clients also.
I am super stoked for my trajectory; life was never easy, whether that be dealing with physical health ailments, mental health and cancer.
Life and everyday has been a task and a fight for me. I am thankful for where I am and the potential outcomes life has in store for me. Everyday is and will continue to be a challenge but I will continue to do my best to overcome, flourish and bloom.
Professionally I would not be where I am without self awareness, seeking help when necessary, personal work, overcoming trauma, taking risk, determination of completing goals and the help of a long time friend Jake Harris. (Thank you to those at Heart & Skin and Dark Light Studios who push me, thank you also Terrarium Tattoo for creating community and starting art nights!)
I have learned that you must have determination and motivation as well as desire to truthfully create something that is yours. No one is going to hand you anything; it is up to you to take reigns of your life and complete the task. If you truly want something show the universe and do the work.
I want people to know that;
a) if you struggle physically/mentally there are people out there who care or resources to help
b) if you want to make a difference in yourself or the world stick to your moral value and ground/surround yourself with like minded individuals
c) if you have a goal or dream that you feel in your heart, don’t let anyone get in your way; follow through
d) you are loved
I want the people to know that no matter the struggle or depths of darkness one may travel; through self love, perseverance, heart, care, intention, value and integrity you will get exactly what you need out of life.
Do not give up on yourself.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would have to say; Horsetooth, Poudre canyon and Estes adventures for some beautiful sites. Maybe even some Red rocks exploration or a concert if available!
Depending on the season definitely some kayaking and nature hikes.
I always recommend The Colorado Room for amazing food and a great time, maybe some banh mi and fried mushrooms at Mama Rama!!
Definitely some old town exploring for some local business treats and bakeries.
I also really want to check out Meow Wolf and Top Golf!
I would also take a drive to Leadville to show the differentiation in scenery Colorado has to offer and all the towns in between. Colorado is such a beautiful state.
Im typically a homebody unless I am out rummaging for food or nature with my dog!! Im starting my 3rd year hear and totally need to find more places to explore
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout myself for taking risk and moving here solo with my dog across the country during a pandemic and not giving up on long term goals or myself after a life of man trial and errors.
Also to shout out Jake Harris at Heart & Skin; Jake and I grew up together outside Philadelphia; met around 14-15 years old through playing music in local bands and mutual friends.
I am super thankful to have known Jake as well as his family back home who have been there for me throughout the years. Also a a huge thank you for allowing me another opportunity to get back into the tattoo industry.
I am forever thankful and grateful.
I would also like to thank anyone who has given words of encouragement, has gotten tattooed and whom continue to follow and support my journey. Books open for 2023, follow my journey in instagram for more!!
