Meet Violeta Juarez | Photographer of beauty, strength, and quiet truth.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Violeta Juarez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Violeta, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born to two Nicaraguan parents, speaking Spanish before I ever spoke a word of English. My earliest years unfolded under the warm sun of Miami, Florida — surrounded by family who were always dancing, laughing, snapping pictures, soaking in life’s joy.
At twelve, my story shifted to Schertz, Texas, where the quiet of small-town life met the complexities of growing up. I went through an abusive marriage — a difficult, shaping storm — but even there, in that hard season, something beautiful bloomed. I found my love for photography.
Becoming a mother deepened that love. I wanted to capture every fleeting moment of my babies’ lives — their sleepy smiles, their tiny growing hands, the wonder in their eyes. Even while standing on shaky ground, raising two little ones on my own, working full time, I found every possible moment to take photos. My life wasn’t easy, but that made me even more grateful for every bit of light I could catch — for every step that carried me here.
My upbringing taught me to see beauty in the details most people pass by — the soft glance, the quiet confidence, the fleeting moment of joy. This is what shaped my love for photography. It was never just about capturing images; it became about capturing essence — the quiet truth hiding behind someone’s smile or posture.
I think growing up in these different worlds — the lively warmth of Miami and the quiet strength I had to find in Texas — gave me resilience, curiosity, and a heart that listens deeply. It made me the kind of person who observes carefully and creates thoughtfully — not just as a photographer, but as a human being moving gently through this wild, sparkling world.
And today, I am blessed to be married to a beautiful soul who believes in this dream with me — who is giving me the space and the grace to give my love for photography, for capturing beauty and strength and kindness, a real and full-hearted chance.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is rooted in seeing what others often miss — the quiet magic between moments, the softness behind strength, the hidden stories in a glance or a posture. Whether I’m capturing a mother holding her child, a woman standing confidently in her own skin, or a brand telling its story for the first time, my goal is always the same: to reveal the essence beneath the surface.
What sets me apart is the path I’ve walked to get here. My journey wasn’t easy — it was made of hard-won lessons and quiet victories. I went through an abusive marriage, raised two little ones as a single mother while working full time, and built this dream one photo at a time in the spare moments I could find. I didn’t have the luxury of rushing — I had to grow slowly, intentionally, learning not just the craft of photography, but the deep art of seeing people as they are.
And now, life has brought me to a brand new chapter. I’m in Santa Clarita, restarting my photography business from the ground up — building fresh roots in this community, meeting new faces, and bringing this passion for capturing truth and beauty to life in a new place. It feels like both a return and a beginning — a chance to create something even more authentic and aligned with who I’ve become.
I’m most proud that my clients walk away feeling beautiful, powerful, and truly seen — whether it’s a boudoir session that helps a woman reclaim her fire, a family session that captures the wild, messy, belly-laughing magic of life together, or a business owner finally seeing their brand brought to life with honesty and soul.
What excites me is this: I’m finally giving myself permission to dream bigger — to take my love for capturing strength, beauty, kindness, and truth and make it my life’s work in this new city, with fresh energy and fearless heart.
The lessons I’ve learned? Patience. Grace. Trusting the process even when the path felt foggy. Believing that slow growth plants the deepest roots.
If the world could know one thing about me and my brand, it’s this: My photography isn’t about staged perfection. It’s about truth. Real beauty. Real strength. Real, unrepeatable moments. I want every person I photograph to walk away feeling seen — deeply, gently seen — and reminded that they are far more powerful, more radiant, more extraordinary than they ever believed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d want them to leave with their heart full, their soul stirred, and sand still in their shoes.
We’d start with the heartbeat of LA — the Arts District — wandering through colorful murals, quirky galleries, and maybe grabbing coffee at a tucked-away spot where the creativity hums in the air. It’s impossible not to feel inspired there.
Then, of course, we’d head to the coast. Malibu is a must — but not just any stretch of sand. We’d spend golden hours at El Matador Beach — where the rocks rise like ancient sculptures from the shore, and the ocean feels endless. I’d make sure we had time to simply be there — toes in the sand, hair wild in the wind, cameras in hand to catch that magic light.
We’d hang out with some new friends we’ve made here — sharing food, laughter, and maybe a little music under the stars.
One morning we’d rise early, lace up our shoes, and hike Placerita Canyon — the quiet trails, the scent of sage and sun-warmed earth, the way the canyon opens wide and peaceful. A little reminder of nature’s gentle power.
Of course, no trip here is complete without a day at Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach — feeling like kids again with the carnival rides, grabbing fish tacos, watching the roller skaters and street performers dance their strange, beautiful dances.
And for the nights? West Hollywood, of course — WeHo — for a little sparkle, a little wildness, the best cocktails and the best stories. I’d make sure they got to dance, laugh, and feel like anything was possible.
This place is full of contrasts — city and sea, quiet and chaos — and I’d want them to taste it all. To me, that’s what makes it unforgettable.
