Meet Xandra Hawes | Spiritual Therapist & Spiritual Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Xandra Hawes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xandra, how does your business help the community?
Soul Essence Psychotherapy helps empaths, lightworkers, starseeds, and old souls heal themselves and come home to their innate wisdom and inner knowing. When I became a therapist, it was from a deep hearted desire to support humans’ ascension process, but also shaped from my own wounding. I struggled immensely as a teenager to find mental health support that included holistic health, where I could talk about my spiritual confusion, my sensitivity, and my multidimensional nature without being pathologized. Coupled with growing up in the Midwest, where asking for support is considered weak, I really beat myself up inside and turned to psychedelics to explore my inner world and the unseen worlds to get clarity. It was helpful, but I realized after several years that plant medicines are windows, not doors. During medicine journeys, I was often shown helpful insights and connected with many different guides and etheric beings, but it also created spiritual arrogance that I could consume a substance without doing the work to maintain my frequency.
In my private practice, I work as both a Spiritual Therapist for residents of Colorado, and a Spiritual Life Coach and guide for old souls all over the world. I work with many lightworkers that feel a deep longing to be of service on the planet, but feel incredibly stuck and lack confidence in their own inherent connection. I teach my clients how to connect with their higher selves, and to be discerning about which higher self they are choosing to listen and follow. Many humans don’t realize we have multiple higher selves at different dimensional levels, and don’t take the time to check in to make sure they are being guided to their most optimal future point.
I truly believe that, if humans recognized their multidimensional nature, our world could heal itself in minutes. Recognizing you are a soul has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with owning your energetic birthright to remember who you are and why you chose to be here at this time.

What should our readers know about your business?
I work at the unique intersection of psychology, spirituality, and energy healing. I am a licensed professional counselor in private practice, and have a wide variety of certifications, from psychic-mediumship, to herbalism, hypnotherapy, and meditation.
I feel really blessed to work with a subset of the population that is determined to wake-up to who they really are. A much deeper healing occurs when a client explores their evolution and growth beyond finding a stable career for example, or living a happy life. Maintaining connection to the soul is incredibly empowering and life altering. Putting true time and effort into practicing maintaining your frequency in a world where many are choosing to go unconscious is no easy feat. I work specifically with starseeds and lightworkers because they feel driven to find greater purpose and alignment and are willing to challenge themselves to dig deeper for answers.
Getting here has been hard – it’s required two master’s degrees, thousands of hours of personal work and professional work, and beyond that, lifetimes of messing up, learning, and integrating karmic lessons. My greatest teacher has been love, and it continues to be the guiding light I come home to.
The greatest and most important lesson I have learned is prioritizing maintaining my frequency – it requires strict attention and focus. It requires deep self-care and discipline practices, ranging from weight lifting, meditation, and cooking at home, to communicating with honesty, compassionate neutrality, and patience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When friends visit (especially from the Midwest), most of our excursions take place in the mountains. I typically take people to different hot springs, so I would devise a trip to spend a day or two at a handful of them. Some of my favorites are: Valley View, Strawberry Park, Cottonwood, and Pagosa Springs.
For example, if I went to Buena Vista to visit Cottonwood Hot Springs, I would hit up the old, drive-in Comanche movie theatre, take a dip next door at Charlotte Hot Springs, and then grab pizza at Crave BV.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a huge shoutout to Marconics – they are an incredible organization supporting lightworkers in reclaiming their power, and have a team of fantastic teachers I respect and value immensely.
Also, I would love to recognize and shoutout my husband for the massive amount of support, generosity, and emotional attunement he provides. We speak the same soul language, and I am still in awe on a daily basis that I get to learn and grow with him.
