Meet Ygor Brito | MVP Connection – Founder & Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ygor Brito and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ygor, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Growing up in Brazil, I recognized that the ability to improvise under pressure was a key component of my development as a player—and it’s a skill that can be taught. I began to think: why not help these kids currently playing for clubs enhance their confidence and decision-making abilities by teaching them the art of improvisation and creativity? We see so many players who think alike, but the ones who truly stand out are those who think outside the box.
This is how MVP Connection was born—with the goal of helping soccer players unlock their creativity and improvisation skills, which are often just waiting to be discovered.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At MVP Connection, we specialize in bringing the Brazilian style of soccer to players who want to elevate their game. What sets us apart is our emphasis on creativity, improvisation, and the joy of playing with flair—key elements that define Brazilian soccer. Growing up in Brazil, I was immersed in a culture where soccer wasn’t just a sport but a way of life. The ability to think outside the box, improvise under pressure, and express oneself on the field are skills I developed as a player and now teach to others.
Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy. Moving to Colorado, I quickly realized the immense passion for soccer in the community, but I also noticed a gap in how young players were being trained. Many were talented but lacked the confidence and decision-making ability needed to excel. Overcoming this challenge meant leaning into my roots and introducing a different perspective—teaching players not just the technical skills, but how to unlock their creativity and play with confidence.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success comes from embracing what makes you unique. For MVP Connection, that uniqueness lies in our dedication to teaching the art of improvisation and creative problem-solving, which are hallmarks of the Brazilian style of play. It’s not just about mastering drills but about learning to love the game and play it with freedom and passion.
What I want the world to know about MVP Connection is that we’re here to inspire the next generation of players to not only improve their skills but to enjoy the process and express their individuality on the field. We believe that when players learn to play with confidence and creativity, they can achieve extraordinary things—not just in soccer but in life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A journey to Colorado Springs would feature Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and dinner at The Broadmoor or Brother Luck. We’d catch a Colorado Rapids game, enjoy Denver’s nightlife, and take a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, stopping at Estes Park. The trip would wrap up with a relaxing brunch at Root Down, shopping in Larimer Square, and a farewell dinner with city views at El Five. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m very thankful to a Brazilian soccer parent named Felipe Jordao, who sparked the creativity that I bring to the field. This creativity is something most coaches aren’t able to teach in the same way. Felipe helped me focus on the finer details, like a precise touch and how to give the ball the right effect when dribbling or kicking. I’m grateful to him for trusting me with his child and giving me the opportunity to expand this knowledge within the community he was connected to.
