Meet Zackary Penn | Traveller and working to be a full time content creator.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zackary Penn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zackary, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
When I was younger I always wanted to become extremely rich and successful and I thought that would bring me happiness. It ended up bringing me misery and sadness. I remember the First time I went on a vacation. I went to Hawaii With one of my friends and we explored mountains, waterfalls, and the beautiful beaches. I fell in love with nature and I knew that working my life away in the corporate world was not worth it. We has humans don’t have a long life span and so on that trip I decided to start working to live instead of living to work. I started to work on my instagram and Youtube channel to try and be a full time content creator. I am not there yet but I do have 7k on instagram and I am excited to bring my Content to Life in Colorado.

To answer this last question I think there has to be a balance. If you get to consumed with work you will blink and your life will be over. There has to be some sort of break something more in life Than working and just going home and watching Netflix till bed time. I truly believe the USA needs to let the American people have more time off for themselves and to truly find hobbies and passions.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Something I want to bring or show with my art/work would be that everyone can achieve their goals if they put their minds to it. That no matter what this thing we call life that we are living is worth it. That their is beauty in everything we do. I want to have a relationship with everyone I come into contact with. I do not think I am better than anyone else we are all created equal and I want to convey that in my work. We all go through struggles we all have ups and downs and I am here to relate to YOU and to let you know it’s going to be ok we both will get through this.

I would say I am most proud of helping save two of my followers from hurting their selfs. They both reached out from a post they saw and they were both struggling hard with some issues. I talked to both and helped them get help and possibly saved their lives. As I said before every life is precious so I was happy and proud I made a difference.

Getting to where I am at was not easy it’s been extremely difficult. With self doubt with some people telling me I am stupid to try and be a content creator, to their are two many content creators out there and I am wasting my time and lastly do I think I am better than them because I have been able to travel the world and I am posting about it. It has been hard to overcome. I would say it’s extremely mentally tough but not so much physically. I overcame these issues by pray and talking to my friends and family and just get support.

I want the world to know that I want to show everyone the world! I want to show the beauty, the passion, the culture, the food, the nature, I want YOU all to feel like we are a part of a community, that we can achieve anything that we put our minds to. That if I can do something YOU can to. Just because I am traveling doesn’t mean YOU can’t. That we are all in this together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I would show off the nature of Colorado, I would bring them to waterfalls, to mountains, the lakes, Colorado is one of the most beautiful states I have ever been to and that needs to be shared in my opinion. I would find local restaurants when we were traveling through out the state. When it comes to food I never plan on road trips I find a random town and look for great local food. Finding local places to eat also leads to meeting some incredible and truly unique people. I have no problem talking to locals and finding the secret gems of the city as well as learn about their stories.

Obviously I think the mountains are the best to explore in Colorado, but after that the most interesting people I have met have been at breweries and coffee shops. I think historical sites can be extremely cool. Everyone is different though and I think if someone visits they should do a little research as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly my family. My dad and mom have always been supportive of my dreams no matter what. They just wanted to see me and met siblings be successful. Then we have my sister in Law she lives in Vegas with my older brother and she has a successful tik Tok and Instagram where she shows all of Vegas ” Lydia Penn” she has really helped me with figuring out the best ways to post and the options I have on different platforms. Lastly My Twin and God and Jesus Christ. My twin has always been my best friend and has supported me in so many ways. When I took all of last year off to travel the world he was in my corner and always supporting me no matter what. When I would question myself he would always talk to me and help get me back on track. Then God and Jesus. As a Christian man my faith is extremely important to me. With praying and reading the Bible I truly felt like I was getting guidance from the Lord.

I do not thank without all of the support I have gotten throughout my life I would be where I am today. Until I got older I did not realize how important and how meaningful family and friends are. SO to everyone that has always been supporting me thank you!
