We had the good fortune of connecting with Zo Azubuike and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zo, how does your business help the community?
Providing a better. more affordable way for consumers to get a home loan, and providing a better, more rewarding way for loan officers to work!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m an independent mortgage broker. After years of experience in the real estate industry, I understand how the process of buying a home can be very daunting. That’s why I work very hard to make the process as smooth as possible, and ultimately, a pleasant and enjoyable experience. As a broker, I’m able to quickly find lending solutions from multiple lenders and various programs for all types of buyers. I have many lenders that I can shop on my client’s behalf, which allows for our process to ensure that our clients get a more affordable loan with less fees and a more competitive rate. I’m very excited about that because being an independent mortgage broker truly shows that we’re after the client’s best interest. Additionally, I pride myself on providing clients with quality service and reliability throughout the entire loan process keeping you up to speed with accurate information every step of the way.

I am federally licensed and registered to provide lending services in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas.

I also have a team of 10 loan officers and I’m always recruiting and spreading the message of what it means to be an independent loan officer so that other loan officers in the industry can experience the freedom and control in their business that comes with being an independent mortgage broker. I’ve even created a course called “Loan Officer Blueprints” to help loan officers get trained on how to self generate their business and how to become an independent loan officer/mortgage broker, so they too can help consumers get their loans more affordably and with competitive rates.

How’d I get to where I am today? Well, I paid my dues on the retail side of the mortgage industry for 5 years, and was fortunate to have relationships within the industry that helped give me additional perspective, and I made the decision to make the jump to the mortgage broker world at the beginning of 2020. It was the best decision I’ve ever made for my mortgage career!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the mountains. Either do a e-bike tour or go snow boarding!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Can’t do it without God’s goodness, grace and provision. I’m thankful for my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ,.. the support from my wife, Michelle. My family. And all the mentors, loan officers, and friends in the industry that have contributed to my mortgage career by sharing their tips & tricks of the trade.
