We had the good fortune of connecting with Purple On Three and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Purple On Three, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As an older content creator, I like to show others that as we age gracefully we still have much to offer to others. Through my videos created on YouTube, I want to show other women and also men that they can ride a 3-wheeled motorcycle and enjoy the same wind therapy that 2-wheeled motorcycles provide. And I want to show just how much fun riding is! My channel content is wholesome and I also want to be a role model in this area, showing others that success can come even while exercising modesty in creating videos.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Professionally, I retired from a 33 year “helping” career and have renewed my passion for riding motorcycles which I had given up while raising our family. When I began riding motorcycles in the late 1980’s, female riders were a minority. It is wonderful to see so many women riders today! I began creating YouTube videos to share my experiences and encourage others to get out there and ride. I want others to know that age should not stop you from pursuing your dreams! Spyders are easy to ride and I want to encourage as many individuals as I can. I am just a “regular” person, no superpowers here, and encouraging others, making them smile is what makes my day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Rural, western Pennsylvania is beautiful. I would show my friend some of our beautiful rivers in the area and some of my favorite motorcycle roads in the area. Western PA is home to Cook Forest State Park, the Clarion River and the Allegheny River. We could take a kayak or inter-tube out on one of the rivers and later ride our motorcycles to Foxburg, PA for a lovely dinner on the river at the Allegheny Grille. If my friend is visiting for a week, we could spend some time on Presque Isle in Erie, PA and spend a day at Waldameer, a historic amusement park, also located in Erie, PA. Or we could ride our motorcycles to Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and Benezette to see the elk, followed by a trip to Penn State Creamery for ice cream because motorcycles and ice cream always go well together!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shout-out to my husband, PSPTommyG. He has been a HUGE supporter and encourager to me in this endeavor. He has some super fun video ideas and is always able to visualize the bigger picture.
