We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaclyn Sagum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaclyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the biggest factor behind the success of my practice has been genuinely caring about the people I serve and building relationships based on trust. Women’s health journeys, whether it’s trying to conceive, navigating IVF, experiencing pregnancy, struggling with insomnia, or moving through perimenopause and menopause, are often deeply personal and emotionally challenging. I strive to create a space where my patients feel heard, supported, and cared for every step of the way.

Over the past decade, I’ve also made it a priority to collaborate with other healthcare providers rather than work in isolation. I regularly visit fertility clinics throughout the Denver area to support patients undergoing IUI and IVF, and I value being part of a patient’s broader healthcare team. I believe the best outcomes happen when practitioners work together with the patient’s goals at the center.

My brand has grown primarily through word of mouth, patient trust, and consistently showing up with compassion, expertise, and a commitment to helping people feel their best. Seeing patients achieve healthy pregnancies, sleep better, regain balance during hormonal transitions, or simply feel like themselves again is what continues to inspire me every day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart is the relationships I build with my patients. I believe healthcare is at its best when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. For more than a decade, I’ve dedicated my practice to women’s health, helping women through fertility, IUI and IVF support, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, menopause, insomnia, and hormonal health. I strive to combine evidence-informed acupuncture with compassionate, individualized care, while collaborating closely with physicians, fertility specialists, and other healthcare providers to give patients the best possible support.

Building a successful practice wasn’t easy. Like many small business owners, I faced uncertainty, financial challenges, and moments of self doubt. As a business owner and a single mom, there were times when balancing everything felt overwhelming. But I stayed the course and continued learning, showing up for my patients every day, and trusting that if I consistently provided excellent care, the rest would follow.

One of the moments I’m most proud of is being recognized as the 2026 Best of Mile High in the acupuncture category. To me, that award represents years of dedication, perseverance, and the trust my patients and referral partners have placed in me. It reminds me that success isn’t built overnight. It’s earned through consistency, integrity, and genuinely caring for the people you serve.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand, it’s that it’s about more than acupuncture. It’s about giving women hope, helping them feel empowered in their health, and creating a place where they feel supported through every season of life. It has been an incredible privilege to walk alongside so many women on some of the most meaningful journeys of their lives, and I don’t take that responsibility for granted.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fun question! For day one, we’d start in Denver. I’d take them to brunch at a spot like Lucile’s Creole Cafe, then we’d stroll around RiNo District, checking out street art. Day two, we’d head to Chatfield Reservoir and go paddle boarding on the lake, soaking up the sun. Day three, we’d do a day trip to Red Rocks, either for a hike or, if the timing’s right, catch a concert. Then, we’d go camping under the stars nearby, maybe at a site close to Mount Falcon. On day four, we’d take a drive up to Dillon, enjoy a live show at the Dillon Amphitheater, and have a lakeside picnic. Day five, we’d drive to Glenwood Springs and soak in the hot springs, maybe hike to Hanging Lake. And for the final day, we’d wind down with a cozy dinner in Boulder and then a sunset walk at Chautauqua. It would be a perfect mix of nature, music, and just enough for them to see the magic of Colorado!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate this shoutout to my children, who are my constant inspiration, and to my mentors, who have guided me with so much wisdom. I also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to the professional practitioners who have trusted and referred to me over the past decade, and to my patients, who have become like family. Their trust, love, and support have been the foundation of my success, and I’m truly grateful for each of them.
