We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Marconi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to push myself and spend more time creating not just for myself but for others. I wanted to do something that allowed me to work with things I already loved, like crystals and herbs. I also wanted to be able to give back. Starting my business wasn’t about making a profit. It was about creating items that can bring positive energy and aid in Rituals for others while simultaneously allowing me to support other small businesses and contribute to programs and foundations that actively work to help others.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make products, mostly candles and wax melts, that contain natural herbs, essential oils, and crystals. I source all of the goods I use from the wax to the crystals from other small businesses which allows me to support others while making things. I am most proud if being able to do that. All of my items are small batch made by me, 100% organic, and tested to ensure the highest quality. I have spent over a decade studying crystals, herbs and oils. Most challenges come from people outside of the pagan, crystal and holistic communities. There are not many vendors who make what I do and many local events are not use to seeing products like mine so it’s hard to gauge the market. I have learned to trust in my skill and instinct. I now have the trust from my clients to make intuitive items based on their intentions and goals. I want people to know that my brand is inclusive, supportive and selfless.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have never been to the Colorado area but have friends who live and thrive there. I would love to visit and take in all that the community has to offer.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I had set out to start a business where I could give back. I wanted to create items that have herbs, oils, and crystals that promote healing and postivity for others. My friends and others I know from the crystal community would come to me and ask for recommendations for items. They allowed me to make things for them and their response encouraged me to do more and grow my business. Doing this could allow me to invest in the support of LQBTQA+ and women’s rights. I work hard to be able to do that, to do what I can for others.
