We had the good fortune of connecting with Kori Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kori, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my business was having trendy options for kids my age. Kids my age really don’t have a lot of options that cater to just us, also trends come and go very quickly. That was my goal to give unique options.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an 4th grade A & B student who loves dance and soccer. I feel what makes me unique from others is my style and I am not afraid to try different things. I am most excited about the production and filling the orders day to day in my business. It was not easy at all, but I think I am getting the hang of inventory and other things. A lesson I’ve learned along the way is to never give up! What I want people to know about my brand is that it will be very unique, memorable, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was to visit me here in Colorado, I would first go to Denver. My favorite place to eat in Denver is Pappadeaux because I love seafood. I would visit the Aquarium in Denver as it is very neat and cool to see. I would love to hang out at Meow Wolf and create content and view all of the exhibits.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my mom, Kyla. She is basically the Operations Manager/Designer of The Fashion Scoop. When I came to her with my idea she didn’t hesitate to assist me or show me the ins and outs of running a successful business and not giving up. Thank you Mom!
