We had the good fortune of connecting with Nathalie Baret and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathalie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I created Win-Win PR & Artist Management with the goal of helping Creators bring their brand to life — taking them from strong to superb. By creators, I mean small business owners, arts and entertainment businesses, and creators such as musicians, podcasters, radio personalities, painters, book authors and more. My client roster varies from recording artists, musical theatre and dance companies, large-scale adventure parks, to mental health clients who need support with social media strategy, asset creation, website imaging/revamping, and educational seo-blogs.
My company takes organizations to the next level through storytelling, creating high-profile marketing events, implementing big-picture PR as well as marketing initiatives, and endeavors that raise brand awareness, community engagement and excitement. In short, we whet the appetite of the end user.
I am currently serving on the Marketing & Communications Committee of CBCA, the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, and am a member of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think my “bulls-eye” is my ability to use my branding expertise to create tailor-made actionable (and implementation of) projects and campaigns.
Between having a BA in Business and minor in Strategic Marketing and Public Relations, I have become an expert in imaging and revamping brands. “My art” is strengthening a brand’s presence in the marketplace.
– Promotion Director for AGM Radio, a seven-cluster station group in the four corners for three years.
– Publicist for four major concerts in the four corners with successful media coverage and attendee turnout: Tanya Tucker, Randy Travis, Dan Fogelberg, and Charlie Daniels.
– Creating and implementing strategic press kits for the General Manager of Cumulus Radio in Albuquerque, a nine-cluster station group.
– Revamping and leading a radio show on Entercom Denver KEZW airwaves for 2.5 years, including writing all on-air plugs, booking guests, writing .60 second spots for sponsors, procuring swag and more.
– Managing marketing and communications for Urban Air Adventure Park Denver East, and Urban Air Katy, Texas.
– A longtime entertainment journalist for various outlets. I spent six years writing for New Mexico’s major daily newspaper, the Albuquerque Journal, and I currently write for Denver Westword. With clients, I use my know-how and professional experience as a journalist and proven expertise in media-relations, which spans more than 15 years.
I have learned that a brand’s image matters more than you think. Brand image does more than make a good impression; it creates recognition, credibility, it shows how polished, professional, and committed you are.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I was born in the South of France, I love French cuisine and art. I would take them to the French restaurant Atelier by Radex, located in Denver. They have wonderful wines, cocktails, and beautifully prepared French-Euro cuisine. While my friend is visiting, we would go on day road trips, such as head to Colorado Springs and hike the Garden of Gods, grab a bite to eat in Manitou Springs, and before heading back to Denver, we would tour the Stanley Hotel and take in the beautiful scenic mountain backdrop facing the hotel.
On another day, we would drive to Beaver Creek and walk around (my friends tend to come during the summertime so they can enjoy the sun and nature). We would then drive to Vail and walk around there, take the chairlift up the mountain, hike down and enjoy all the beautiful wild flowers and greenery coming down. We would grab a bite to eat at a mom and pop restaurant nearby or go to Frisco and walk the main street and eat a meal there, where there are plenty of mom and pop restaurants. We may stay overnight or head back to Denver come nigh time.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
