Meet Jon Chavez | Owner/CEO of Fireborn Chili Company

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Chavez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor hands down is my family. None of this would be possible with out my wife and daughters by my side. When we are all together running this business we’re like a well oiled machine. We have learned so much as a team, we have found what we’re good at individually and we all have a job to do and we execute it perfectly.

What should our readers know about your business?
Here at Fireborn Chili Company we make a premium condiment called chili crisp oil. It originates from Asia but we put our own spin on it. Chili crisp has gotten really popular in the United States in the last 5 years and we had to jump on the trend. We have made our own for years and decided to finally bring it to market. It was a long process to try and get it out to the public we had to jump through hoops to get our manufacturing license including having to change our recipe a couple times. I feel like ours stands out from the rest by using premium hand picked products in our product and we stand out by being one of the only chili oil companies to use the Carolina Reaper the hottest chili in the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you were coming to Denver we would definitely hit up Fat Sully’s and get a giant cheese pie for starters, I’m really into disc golf so after the pizza we’re hittin’ Johnny Roberts to get a round in before getting some drinks at Denver Beer Company. A perfect night would consist of getting a bite to eat at Uncle followed by a dope concert at Red Rocks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to all our family and friends that have supported us from the beginning, the strangers that bought our product that showed us that anything you put your mind to will pay off along with a strong work ethic. From the bottom of our hearts we love you all.
