Meet Justin Hartman | CEO/Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Hartman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to have full control over quality, layout, equipment etc. I also wanted to create a retail business that would support our Roasting business. This allows us to create and foster relationships with our farmers all the way to our baristas. Connecting the two with common cause of coffee.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are OZO COFFEE ROASTERS! Connecting diverse communities through the love of Coffee. What sets up apart is appreciation of making connection and community with coffee as the catalyst. We fresh roast all the coffee weekly to insure freshness and quality. We have long term relationships with our farmers that continue to grow as we grow. We pay above fairtrade pricing model and continue to buy the majority +75% of our coffee as Organic. biggest challenge has been COVID – the thing that helped us survive was our deadicated, loyal customers

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A big shout out to my wife for having the confidence in me to take the risk of starting our business. My friend Greg Tucker for his support and my Mentor Z Premji for all his knowledge and support over the years
