We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Scornavacco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
So the end goal is simple really. My main focus is to help artists understand that making music a profession isn’t a pipeline dream. So many musicians think that being a starving artist is the only way you can be a professional in the music industry. I hope to coach people from the beginning stages until they are headlining festivals around the world.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Rocky Region Booking, was started by complete accident. I simply just wanted to play more shows so I started emailing venues in my town. Eventually I made a name for myself within the community and other bands started reaching out asking if I could help them which I happily obliged. Eventually my former band decided to hit the road and Tour so I assisted in booking us across the country, made a few connections and realized that if you know how to contact the right person and sell your product which is usually yourself you can get booked anywhere.

Merchandise Magic also happened by pure chance. I was playing with a band that had no merchandise and I wanted to find a solution. My wife had a circuit cutter and some vinyl so she started making very primitive heat press tees for us to wear and sell. Eventually word got out that we were making tee shirts and when people started asking if we could make them for their bands Merchandise Magic was born. We then began screen printing on our dining room table with a single screen that we manually stretched on a wooden frame and nothing more than a heat gun to cure the shirts. After a couple of orders really roughing it we bought a Shops equipment that was closing its doors and finally had real equipment necessary for mass production work. We now proudly make Merchandise for bands all across the United States and offer everything from Tee shirts to forty foot backdrops and have partnered with clients such as America’s got talents Liliac producing thousands of shirts in support of their tours for 2 years running now.

Drumming, believe it or not I have only been playing drums since the summer of 2020. Prior to that I was a mediocre at best guitarist. In the past every band I ever was a part of we could never find a solid drummer. One day when browsing a pawn shop I spotted a PDP FX Series all birch drum kit. Ofcourse I asked my wife’s permission and she gleefully agreed I could spend what little money I had on it with the promise that I would put it to use unlike the guitars I had collecting dust. A week later I joined my first band as a full time drummer with very limited abilities. Since that fateful audition I have played over 300 shows having toured across the United States and have been involved in 4 studio albums, and have performed with bands such as Saving Abel, Creed Fisher, Trapt, Liliac and many more notable artists.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So first place I would take them is my second home Sunshine Studios Live. If you’re obsessed with live music there is no better place to go. For food I would probably take them down to Rudy’s Barbeque and then to Red Rocks Open Space. My wife and I spent a lot of time just driving the back roads of Colorado getting lost in the vast mountain ranges so breath taking views are a must see when visiting Colorado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So it’s no surprise that behind every great man is an even greater woman, that woman for me is my beautiful wife Inna Lagonska. Without her I would have never even thought it possible to male a career doing what I love most. Her pure genius and get it done mentality has been essential in my success.

I would also like to thank Christina Corbitt and Scott Wilson over at Sunshine Studios Live. They too are also an unstoppable force and have been together for around a decade. Having the owner of the most premiere music venue in Colorado Springs and a multiplatinum producer and artist coaching me has been monumental for my success. Between them and my wife we make an excellent team that is able to look out for eachother and keep eachother critically thinking of new ways to brach out helping creatives.
