We had the good fortune of connecting with TJ Little and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TJ, how does your business help the community?
Art in general is a breath of fresh air in a time where many are facing hardship. Art has always brought hope and joy and distraction. This is what my goal is for the community. I love to create amazing pieces that also are relatable to those who view and support it. The goal is to make people feel something good inside! I do a fun daily drawing and post about it everyday… the response from those who follow me is always positive and they really get the joke, if you know what I mean.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I live for creativity, I always have! I like to consider myself a “low brow” type of artist and love to put out badass pieces that are fun and make people laugh.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
How do you pick only one person, when you’ve had a lifetime of learned skill and experience from so many amazing people?
I, of course, want to recognize my son Murray. We spent many years together as studio neighbors, and he quickly surpassed me in terms of artistic ability. I am so proud of that and feel, because of him, I have become a better artist. He is phenomenal as a human and especially an artist.
My Wife, Indigo, always has my back… thanks for being a great Instagram Wife.
Of course, the amazing artists that I have had the pleasure learning from… The Legend Mike Meyer (he is my go-to) for brainstorming ideas. The artists of Mad Magazine taught me how to draw and Thrasher taught me how to draw RAD stuff.
