We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Olson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting Better Bounce Rentals stemmed from a desire to create joyful experiences for both children and adults. I noticed a gap in the Denver Metro Area for a reliable, fun, and customer-focused inflatable bounce house rental service. I wanted to bring something unique to the market that emphasized not just the products but also exceptional service. As a family-owned business, we saw an opportunity to work together to bring smiles to our community, and that’s what motivated us to start.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Better Bounce Rentals apart is our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. We pride ourselves on providing a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Our inflatables are meticulously maintained, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for fun. Additionally, our friendly and professional team goes above and beyond to make each event special, whether it’s a children’s party, a corporate event, or a community gathering.

I am most proud of the positive impact we’ve had on our community. Seeing the joy on the faces of kids and adults alike when they experience our bounce houses is incredibly rewarding. It’s the reason we do what we do.

Getting to where we are today professionally has not been easy. Starting and growing a small business comes with its fair share of challenges. From navigating the logistics of equipment maintenance and delivery to managing customer expectations, every day brings new lessons. We faced financial hurdles, operational challenges, and the constant pressure to stand out in a competitive market.

Overcoming these challenges required perseverance, adaptability, and a strong support system. We learned to be resourceful and to continuously seek feedback from our customers to improve our services. Embracing technology and innovative marketing strategies also played a crucial role in our growth.

The key lessons we’ve learned along the way include the importance of resilience, the value of building strong relationships, and the necessity of maintaining a positive attitude even in the face of adversity. Each challenge taught us something valuable and helped us become better at what we do.

What I want the world to know about Better Bounce Rentals is that we are more than just a rental company. We are a family-owned, female-owned business with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Our story is one of dedication, hard work, and a commitment to making every event we serve a memorable one. We believe in the power of community, and we are proud to be a part of the special moments in the lives of our customers.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the Denver Metro Area for a week, I would plan an itinerary that showcases the best of our vibrant city and surrounding areas. We would start the trip with a day in Downtown Denver. Breakfast at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, would kick things off with delicious pancakes and creative morning cocktails. We’d spend the afternoon exploring Union Station and its charming shops. For dinner, we’d head to Mercantile Dining & Provision for a farm-to-table experience, followed by a nightcap at The Cooper Lounge, offering stylish ambiance and views over Union Station.

The next day, we’d venture to Boulder and hike the Flatirons or explore Chautauqua Park’s scenic trails. In the afternoon, we’d visit the Pearl Street Mall for some shopping and street performances and then head to dinner at Frasca Food and Wine, renowned for its Italian cuisine. On day three, my friend and I could visit Golden, starting with breakfast at Sassafras American Eatery. We’d then tour the Coors Brewery, one of the largest breweries in the world. In the evening, my friend and I would head to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a concert with its the stunning sunset views.

Day four would be dedicated to arts and culture in Denver. The two of us would visit the Denver Art Museum and then head to the Denver Botanic Gardens to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Dinner would be at Rioja in Larimer Square, followed by drinks at The Green Russell, a speakeasy-style bar.

On day five, my friend and I would explore the Highlands and Tennyson Street. After a quick breakfast at Root Down, we’d stroll along Tennyson Street, checking out its unique boutiques, art galleries, and coffee shops. We’d have lunch at Hops & Pie, a fantastic spot for craft beer and pizza. In the afternoon, we’d visit a local brewery like Denver Beer Co. or Prost Brewing Company. Dinner at El Five would offer tapas and stunning city skyline views.

A day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park would fill day six. We’d spend the day hiking, picnicking, and soaking in the breathtaking scenery. We’d stop in Estes Park on the way back. For our final day, we’d have a relaxing morning with coffee and pastries at a local café. In the afternoon, we’d explore the RiNo (River North Art District), known for its vibrant street art and murals. Our farewell dinner would be at Acorn at The Source, a trendy marketplace in RiNo, followed by a walk around the district to enjoy the art and atmosphere.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
