We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Gregg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always dreamed of being an entrepreneur, but the biggest part of the process was learning to trust and have faith in myself. I knew deep down that I could succeed, and once I embraced that belief, everything started to fall into place. It wasn’t just about creating jewelry; it was about creating a brand that reflected my soul-driven values and my desire to inspire others.

At Salt Creek Silver, the mission has always been to inspire others to live their soul-driven journey. It’s about encouraging people to take leaps when they feel called, even if the path ahead isn’t entirely clear. I believe that when we trust in ourselves and follow that inner calling, we can live a life that feels authentic and meaningful. Through my jewelry, I hope to offer not just something beautiful, but a reminder to take those leaps, embrace individuality, and live life on your own terms.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create quality, hand-fabricated sterling silver and turquoise jewelry for the self-purchasing person who invests in themselves by designing their life by their own terms. My art stands out because every piece is hand-fabricated by me and truly one-of-a-kind, crafted to emphasize the wearer’s individuality. Each design is meticulously detailed, from the hand-curated stones to the precise building process, ensuring that every piece carries its own unique energy and craftsmanship.

The journey to where I am today hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling. It took me years of metalsmithing to feel confident enough to share my work with the world. Once I leaned into my business full-time, a whole new chapter began—both for my business and myself—learning not only the craft of jewelry making but also how to run a business. It’s not just about being a skilled designer and fabricator; it’s about mastering marketing, sales, systems, and financials. Most importantly, it’s about mastering the art of connection. My work resonates on a deeper level—it connects with the hearts of my clients, which, in turn, fills my heart.

The key to overcoming challenges has been embracing them as lessons. I’ve redefined failure as ‘failing forward.’ Every setback is an opportunity to refine my craft and grow stronger. Instead of closing the book on failure, I see it as a stepping stone to something greater.

What I want the world to know is that, just like me, you can follow your soul’s calling. If something excites and inspires you, it can become your life’s work. People may question it, but when you pour your energy into something that aligns with your passion, growth is inevitable. Dream big and create a life by design!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“My mother deserves the biggest shoutout. She subconsciously embedded her love of jewelry into me from a young age. Her incredible collection, which included everything from vintage custom pieces to fine jewelry and Native American designs, mesmerized me. Jewelry was her therapy—it helped her celebrate her accomplishments and heal during tough times. She was always my biggest fan, and when she passed away in 2021, that was the moment I decided to go full-time into my business. It was a wake-up call that life is short, and we should live it to the fullest. I know she’s still by my side, proud of her jewelry-making daughter. My first full collection, Encompass, was actually inspired by her passing. It symbolizes the journey of feeling supported by your community and embraced by your support system.”
