We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica/keonemana Shrinski (you Can Use This Last For Both Of Us) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica/Keonemana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Pure Drip IV was founded six years ago by a family who deeply valued passing it on to another small, locally owned family business. In 2024, they entrusted us with that legacy, and it was truly a dream come true. While we weren’t the original founders, we always dreamed of starting our own business. When the opportunity arose to take over Pure Drip IV, where we were already employed and took great pride in, it felt like the perfect fit.
We had a vision of making IV hydration and vitamin services accessible to everyone, through affordable pricing, a welcoming atmosphere, and a strong focus on education and empowerment. Becoming owners allowed us to realize this vision while honoring the foundation the original family built. Because of both our upbringings we knew we both wanted to create a business that helped care for others and the community without the restrictions of corporate ownership and oversight.
Owning our own business allows us to foster a sense of community, providing exceptional care, and ensuring every client feels heard, valued, and empowered. It’s an honor to continue the legacy we’ve inherited and to make it our own by building genuine relationships, upholding the highest standards, and helping our clients feel their best.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Pure Drip IV apart is our commitment to accessibility, affordability, and education. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere where people can take charge of their health and feel empowered in their wellness journey. We’re most proud of the community we’ve built—our clients trust us because they know we put their safety first, never cutting corners or taking risks when it comes to the services we provide. Every decision we make, from the pricing to the care we offer, is grounded in our core values of integrity and client well-being.
Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. We’ve faced long hours, tough decisions, and the challenge of balancing business growth with the personal sacrifices that come with it. We work 12 days straight before taking a break, driven by our determination to build a solid foundation. One of the hardest parts was maintaining work-life balance, especially with kids at home. We’ve learned the importance of setting boundaries to ensure we’re taking care of ourselves, our family, and our business.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that risk is necessary, but it has to be calculated. We never take risks with our clients’ health or safety, but we’ve learned to embrace strategic risks when it comes to growth—like closing for an event that could bring in new clients or taking a brief family vacation, knowing the business will benefit in the long run.
What we want the world to know about Pure Drip IV is that we’re here to build lasting relationships and to make a real difference in people’s lives. We believe wellness should be within reach for everyone, and we’re committed to keeping our services affordable without sacrificing quality. We want people to know they can trust us, not just as a business, but as individuals who care deeply about the community we serve.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a best friend were visiting us in Fort Collins, Colorado, we’d want to give them a true taste of what makes this area special—especially the outdoors and the vibrant local businesses. Here’s how we’d plan a week-long itinerary:

Day 1: Welcome to Fort Collins

Start with breakfast at Silver Grill Café, known for its history and famous cinnamon rolls.
Afterward, take a relaxing stroll along the Poudre River Trail, a beautiful walking and biking path with scenic views.
In the afternoon, we’d head over to Old Town Fort Collins, which is full of charming boutiques, art galleries, and local shops. We’d visit The Cupboard, a favorite local kitchen shop, or maybe grab a coffee at Little Bird Bakeshop.
Dinner at The Welsh Rabbit Cheese Bistro for an intimate dining experience with locally sourced cheese boards and a great selection of wines.

Day 2: Explore the Outdoors

Morning hike at Horsetooth Reservoir. It’s perfect for a short hike with panoramic views, and we’d pack a lunch to enjoy by the water.
For dinner, we’d head over to Jessup Farm Barrel House for some craft beer and comfort food.

Day 3: Breweries and Local Tastes

Fort Collins is known for its craft beer scene, so we’d spend the day brewery hopping. We’d start at Odell Brewing Co., then make our way to New Belgium Brewing, and wrap up at Maxline.
Dinner at The Farmhouse at Jessup Farm, a farm-to-table restaurant that captures the essence of local dining.

Day 4: Outdoor Adventure

Take a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (just about an hour away). The hiking here is incredible, and we’d spend the day exploring the trails and taking in the views.
After the trip, we’d grab a casual dinner at Austin’s American Grill, which is always a hit with visitors.

Day 5: Chill Day

A more laid-back day at City Park—Hoping to catch the Food Truck Rally and enjoy a picnic.
In the afternoon, we’d visit Soak Spa, one of our amazing community partners, for some relaxation and pampering.
For a casual evening, we’d stop by Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewery for a fun night of pool, pub food, and local brews.

Day 6: Shopping & Local Finds

We’d head back to Old Town for a day of shopping. Strolling down College Avenue is a must, and we’d make sure to visit places like Wolverine Farm Letterpress & Publick House for unique gifts and books.
Lunch at Choice City Butcher & Deli for a classic sandwich.
Finish off the day with dinner at The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, known for its margaritas and lively atmosphere.

Day 7: Outdoor Farewell

A final day spent at Lory State Park for more hiking or even paddle boarding at Horsetooth Reservoir.
Dinner at The Emporium in The Elizabeth Hotel, with a rooftop drink at Sunset Lounge to cap off the trip, enjoying live music and the perfect end to an adventure-filled week.

Fort Collins is all about that balance of outdoor adventure and supporting local businesses, so we’d aim to capture the best of both worlds for an unforgettable week!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We owe so much of where we are today to the incredible support system around us. First and foremost, we want to shout out to our family.
Keonemana grew up in a military family, moving frequently before settling on the Big Island of Hawaii, where his parents ran a hobby farm, on top of being a full-time ICU Nurse and a Therapist. Their work ethic, perseverance, and commitment to self-sufficiency instilled in him the values of hard work and caring for others. For Erica, growing up in Colorado Springs in a hardworking, middle-class family taught her the importance of dedication, balance, and being good to people. Her experience’s led her to pursue a career that would feed her spirit, and ultimately brought her to Pure Drip IV.
Our kids have been our biggest motivation. They inspire us to work hard and set a positive example for them every day. They’ve also sacrificed time with us while we put in the long hours to build our business, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their patience and understanding.
We also want to give a huge shout out to the previous owners of Pure Drip IV, who trusted us to take over the business they so carefully built. Their faith in us made this dream possible, and we’re honored to carry their legacy forward.
Lastly, we’d like to recognize Soak Spa and Reset Medical Solutions, two businesses that have been amazing and supportive community partners. Their collaboration and encouragement have meant the world to us, and we’re grateful to be part of such a supportive network.
