We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Gudeahn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing most outsiders don’t realize about the tattoo industry is how much time and effort goes into the work beyond the tattoo itself. People see the finished product on skin, but they don’t always see the hours of designing, researching, and customizing artwork to fit a client’s vision and body. There’s also the business side—booking, client communication, supply management, and constant learning to refine techniques and stay up to date with industry trends. It’s not just about being a good artist; it’s about being adaptable, professional, and dedicated to growth!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is inspired by nature, whimsical elements, organic and intuitive feels, and special moments. I strive to create pieces that feel both timeless and uniquely personal to each client. I want my work to tell a story—whether it’s a delicate floral piece, a bold neotraditional design, or something with a touch of the mysterious.

Getting to where I am today professionally was far from easy, but it was absolutely worth it. Tattooing is an industry that requires relentless dedication, and my journey started at the bottom, learning the ropes through an apprenticeship that gave me the foundation to grow. Every step—from cleaning stations to observing, practicing, eventually taking on my own clients, and mastering new techniques —was a valuable learning opportunity that shaped me into the artist I am today. I faced self-doubt, long hours, and the challenge of proving myself in a competitive field. What got me through was my passion, the support of my loved ones, and the amazing people who believe in my art.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth never stops. There’s always more to learn, more ways to evolve, and more opportunities to push artistic boundaries. I’ve also learned that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about resilience, adaptability, and willingness to keep pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone to grow as both an artist and a professional.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that my studio is more than just a tattoo space; it’s a creative sanctuary where clients can feel heard, seen, and confident in getting something they’ll love forever. I put my heart into every design, and I’m beyond grateful to be living my dream as a tattoo artist. The journey has been challenging, but every step has shaped me into the artist I am today.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d want to show them all the best spots in the area to get a real taste of Denver. We’d start by strolling through the Denver Botanic Gardens for some nature, then definitely check out the oddity shops around town—there’s always something cool and unique to discover. I’d also make sure we hit up the Art Walk for some local culture and creative vibes.

As for eating, Denver has tons of great options, even with my gluten-free needs. I’d recommend places like Olinger for a fun, quirky vibe and then grab some Little Man Ice Cream for a sweet treat. Root Down is one of my go-to spots for a delicious meal, and Avanti has a great selection of food options.

For drinks, I’d take them to a cute tea house, maybe one with a cozy atmosphere where we can relax and sip something unique. When it comes to places to visit, Red Rocks is a must-see—there’s nothing like experiencing the beauty of the amphitheater surrounded by nature. And if we were feeling adventurous, we’d make a day trip to Garden of the Gods for some breath taking views or take a little hike to Saint Mary’s Glacier- perfect for enjoying Colorado’s outdoor beauty.

To hang out, we’d head to a little mountain town like Golden, with its charming streets and gorgeous views. Or we might spend some time downtown exploring the shops, local art, and quirky boutiques that make Denver feel so full of character.

In my view, Denver offers something for everyone. Whether you’re into food, art, outdoor adventures, or quirky finds, this city is full of endless opportunities. It’s a place where you can find something exciting around every corner—truly the place of opportunity

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my incredible support system. My family has believed in me every step of the way, and my mom—one of the strongest and most dedicated people I know—has always shown me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. My partner has been my rock, helping me pursue my dreams to the fullest extent. And, of course, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the hometown tattoo shops that took me under their wing, gave me an apprenticeship, and helped me get my foot in the door of this industry. I’m also beyond grateful for the people who trusted me to tattoo them from the very beginning and for the loyal clients who continue to support my work. Their trust and enthusiasm fuel my passion every day, and I wouldn’t be here without them. I’m forever grateful for all the love, encouragement, and opportunities that have shaped my journey so far!
