Meet Kendra Conner | Chiropractor specializing in women and children

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendra Conner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I come from a family of incredibly hard workers- my mom was a stay at home mom (so she did all the jobs) and my dad was an electrician who worked all the overtime hours to make ends meet. Though I am thankful for their example in hard work, I feel that the work and home life balance was a luxury that they did not get to enjoy. My mentor is a dad, a chiropractor, and an active member of his community- he enjoyed his job, worked his schedule around his family’s activities, and he got to say yes to opportunities in the community. I knew that I wanted children and a solid career and starting a business was my way to do both- getting to start one with my husband was an extra perk.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business is our mission field- we believe the Lord has called us to bring light to other families through Chiropractic care and through a clinic that does things the old school way. We give respect, we listen, and we pray for our patients. We believe that family is so important and we work everyday to make healthier families. We have found that chiropractic care helps families get over sickness faster, allows athletes to stay active and avoid injuries, and allows pregnant and post partum moms and babies to adapt to their changing environments. Our clinic specializes in prenatal, pediatric and sports chiropractic but we have found that adjustments often become a family outing as most families stay active together and benefit from adjustments differently.
There is no doubt in my mind- we have gotten to where we are today because we have trusted in God’s plan. If our schedules are ever light we pray that he sends us who He needs us to see and then boom- more patients show up on our schedule. Every.single.time.
I am a woman who works in a predominately male profession so proving my adjusting skills, clinical decisions, and respect as a doctor of chiropractic are things I have spent a lot of time earning. I have learned that this is part of what makes me unique- I am a woman and a mom- I can understand the needs of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood in ways only other women who have experienced these milestones can.
I want the world to see a fellow mom who is deeply passionate about helping other women feel heard and supported as they navigate the milestones of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. I want them to trust that they have chosen a chiropractor that has the utmost respect for a growing child’s body and will treat them like my own when they are in my clinic.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would absolutely go to sweetheart winery- their food and wine are delicious and the location is beautiful. It would be a beautiful place to spend the afternoon.
Downtown Loveland would also be a must- we would catch a movie, grab some tacos from vatos tacos, and maybe throw some axes or hit some golf balls at the simulators at Tee Shots. We would finish out the night with an ice cream treat from Josh and John’s
We would play pickleball at one of many local outdoor courts, go for a pedicure, massage, and salt room experience at Cedar and Magnolia Day Spa and go to the Lodge for dinner.
We couldnt let them leave without taking a trip to horseshoe lake or enjoying a hike at devils backbone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom and dad (thanks Kim and Rex) for your support, examples of hard work, and perfectly timed tough love as I grew.
Dr. Todd Jones- my mentor who I call for business advice, leads and runs his business from a Christian foundation, and has shown me how to balance business and family life.
My husband and my children-
Dr. Jordan, Alden, and Kolben- Coming home to you everyday fills my cup again so I can pour into each family that steps into our clinic. Your love and acceptance are everything to me.
