We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle And David and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, what role has risk played in your life or career?
(By Kyle of Pleiadian Dream)

Eleven years ago when I was twenty-two years old and had recently graduated from Brooks Institute with a degree in photography, I was working in a juice bar while my classmates were getting jobs in prestigious companies in L.A., San Francisco, and New York. For eight hours a day they were now taking photos of shampoo or soda bottles in small, windowless studios. Their eyes that used to sparkle when they would look through their camera at what they loved — were now dull and lifeless. But I’m sure their parents were very proud of them. The kids were on the road to success. They were doing what really mattered. I, on the other hand, had student-loan debt that I was about to have to start paying back. The walls were closing in on me. Time was running out. Then a door opened.

I was standing behind the juice-bar counter when a man walked in. We looked into each other’s eyes in silence. He had bright, ethereal, blue eyes, a big, bushy beard, and a puffy jacket with a rip on one shoulder and a little fuzz coming out. His pants and shoes were white. Who was this person in the funny disguise? But his eyes were so real. They said it all. Something in me knew he had come in for much more than a juice.

Over the next few weeks he visited the juice bar and we would talk. My co-workers were much more afraid of this man than I was. Even though they had never met him, they told me I shouldn’t talk with him. But I chose to follow my inner voice.

He and I got together outside of my work. We went to the beach. We sat on a blanket and talked. I was thinking he might be a healer like all the others who came into the juice bar and told me they were. Maybe he could heal me in one session and I’d be free to go — all my problems solved.

We got together a few more times and then went on a three-day road-trip. We camped at a retreat center and visited a couple of towns. For me, it was a mix of terror and bliss. Half the time I was in a place of total joy. The other half I wanted to cry for my mommy.

When we returned from the trip, I told him that I needed some time alone. He was sad, but he understood and told me that he would give me time. I had a decision to make. I could continue to work at my job where I was comfortable but not happy. I could wait and hope for some other opportunity. Or I could take a risk. I could follow my heart into the unknown, leave what I knew behind, and go on an unknown journey with him.

David and I have spent much time together for eleven years. We had to go through our fears first. Then we accepted what was being offered to us. I did everything my parents taught me not to do. I quit my job, left where I was living, and went traveling with David in a van. We have enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, the rivers, the trees, and the ocean. We have gone on walks and have photographed nature. We’ve created beautiful music. We’ve gone through many ups and downs. We learn what we need to learn and heal what we need to heal. We laugh and play like children a lot.

With our music and photography, we’ve continued the work of working together, creating what is natural for us, and not necessarily what the public might like or understand. In our lives in general, we recognize the importance of risk-taking, being in this moment at all times in order to fully experience whatever possibilities and opportunities are being offered. It is sad for us to see that, in this society today, people are copying others, doing what they’re told to do, and appearing more like robots than creative, unique human beings. We hope that you have the courage to follow your heart and go into the unknown to find more than you can even understand, know, and expect. Peace and love be with you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When we, Kyle and David of Pleiadian Dream, met in 2013 in Santa Barbara, California, it seemed that a beautiful and special journey had begun for us together. We traveled by camper-van throughout the Western U.S. and Canada, laughing at life’s cosmic jokes, sometimes dealing with inner struggles, and much of the time being at peace, camping in quiet, open spaces, walking in nature taking photographs, and eventually playing music together.

In 2019, after having, for more than a year, worked with the songs that seemed to have come to us from somewhere else, we released the debut album Pleiadian Dream – eighty minutes and ten tracks, some of which, like “Journey”, “Awaken”, “Dragon’s Dance”, and “4th Dimension” have been remixed and included on our festival albums.

Our journey continued, our music progressed, we grew through challenges, and in 2021, atop other-worldly Mt. Shasta in Northern California, we released our second album, Keys Of Destiny, with songs of power, depth, and sensitivity like “The Gift”, “Sensations Parts 1 and 2”, and “Seventh Heaven”.

In 2022 and ’23, traveling in an RV studio/home, we met and shared our music with many people and performed at events such as PlayThink Festival in Kentucky, the Ocean Dreams Healing Retreat in Florida, and the Salamander Fest in Colorado for gracious, uplifted beings lit up like fireflies in the night and dolphins spinning.

And in 2024, we released two new albums: Seven Sisters 528 Hz and Under The Radar, full of solid, creative songs like “Spirit of the Plants (featuring Terence McKenna and Gwendolyn McClure)”, “White Hats”, “Charming Elves”, and “Marcellus the Octopus”.

To the sound of drums, bass, synths, bells, violins, flutes, psychedelic effects and mystical melodies, in the feeling and the vibration of Pleiadian Dream music, dances a union of souls brought together to learn, to love, and to awaken.
