Today we’re excited to be connecting with Rachel Hudson again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Rachel, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
At Rocky Mountain Corrective Massage we provide corrective medical massage. Our slogan is “pain is a symptom, not a condition”, and our mission is to “reduce the pain in the world, one body at a time.” We work with a large range of healthy clients that live active life-styles and want to stay that way, and also clients suffering from chronic conditions or recovering from all types of surgeries. We are a collaborative team that offers therapies such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Fascial Counterstrain, cupping, deep tissue and neuromuscular massage techniques, as well general stress management. Rocky Mountain Corrective Massage has been providing care for the NoCo area since 2016! We started as just one therapist, have added to our team over time and are thrilled to be caring for our community in every way that we can!

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
We’ve been continuing to grow through our relationships in the community, and serving more clients in our area, as well as continuing to invest in our team by adding more education opportunities for our therapists to keep expanding their individual offerings. We now have five Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapists, a certified Fascial Counterstrain therapist, two therapists that are certified in Scar tissue management and a total of 10 medical massage therapists on our team. Business growth is always exciting and comes with all the good days, and also all the challenges and growing pains no matter what industry you’re in, but we’ve been having a great time along the way and are so fulfilled by seeing our clients feel their best and do the things they love without pain! This past year we have been able to really expand our services to post-surgical clients specifically dealing with swelling through our lymphatic drainage sessions and that has been incredible to be active in that part of their recovery.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
When making difficult choices or trade offs in business, I will always prioritize my staff over anything else. I truly believe that if I take the best care of my staff, they can then be at their best to take care of clients, and clients then take care of the business. “The customer always comes first”, is true in a lot of instances, but without quality staff, you can’t have a quality business, so sometimes that means staff are prioritized even over customers. So far, this philosophy hasn’t steered me wrong, and I’ve never regretted prioritizing my staff over anything else.
