We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Witt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Austin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It comes down to awareness that can save lives. Data can show you the canvas, but you paint the picture if you have the tools for showing signs of heart disease. Many individuals can improve their health with simple steps. However, these steps require discipline. Discipline is not easy. That’s where we come in. Daily accountability and a focus for painting the picture of real data. This isn’t a traditional training session where you show up at the gym at a schedule time and hope after 16 sessions that you lose weight. This is daily accountability with access to fitness at your fingertips. Habit tracking of eating healthy, sleeping, and getting saving time and money for busy adults. We take their data securely and paint the picture of their current status of health. We can use this information to discuss with their primary care provider lifestyle solutions to improve their well-being.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are preventive health care at your fingertips. Individuals from all over the world were in need of health data coaching without false or misleading information. Due to the obesity epidemic and technological environment we live in, giving people access to prevent heart disease and improving quality of life.

We offer customized workouts, nutrition plans, and habit tracking designed specifically for their lifestyles and health data. We meet our clients where they are, providing support and empathy that foster meaningful connections. Our approach leads to preventive healthcare at their fingertips.

With a background of clinical and tech start up we were able to help deliver solutions directly to our clients since 2020.
Fittwave has achieved several milestones in our first four years, including features in notable publications such as Forbes, AskMen, Voyage Denver, and Shoutout Colorado. However, my greatest accomplishment ties back to our commitment to unparalleled customer service and our clients’ success. We have helped numerous clients lose weight and maintain their progress. What makes me the most proud, though, is our ability to assist individuals in reducing or eliminating their reliance on medication, ultimately extending their lives. This focus on improving health and well-being defines our mission and makes us stand out in the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, this is a fun one! If my bestie were in town for a whole week, we’d have an absolute blast exploring Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. Think of it as a mix of breathtaking views, quirky local spots, and maybe just a little bit of adventure. Here’s the kind of shenanigans we’d get up to:

Day 1: Morning Arrival and Garden of the Gods to See the Sunrise

Afternoon: After picking them up and the initial hug-fest, we’d head straight to Garden of the Gods. It’s a must-see, right? We’d wander through those incredible red rock formations, maybe do a little easy hike to get the blood flowing after their travels. The views are just unreal – perfect for some epic photo ops and catching up.
Evening: For dinner, we’d hit up Rasta Pasta. It’s got this super chill vibe and their pasta dishes are seriously delicious and unique. Plus, it’s a local favorite, so they’d get a real taste of the Springs.
Day 2: Pikes Peak and Old Colorado City Charm

Morning: Time for a classic! We’d drive or take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway up Pikes Peak. The views from the top are just mind-blowing – you can see for miles! We’d definitely grab some of those famous high-altitude donuts – they’re surprisingly good.
Afternoon: After descending, we’d explore Old Colorado City. It’s got such a cool, historic feel with art galleries, boutiques, and little cafes. We’d probably grab a coffee at a local spot and just soak in the atmosphere.
Evening: Dinner would be at The Blue Star, a place with a fantastic menu and a really lively atmosphere. It’s great for catching up and maybe even trying some local brews.
Day 3: Adventure Time!

Daytime: Depending on their adventurous spirit, we’d have a few options. We could go for a hike in Red Rock Canyon Open Space (more amazing red rocks, but with different vibes than Garden of the Gods), maybe try some rock climbing if they’re feeling bold, or even check out Cave of the Winds for a spooky and fascinating underground tour.
Evening: After all that activity, we’d need some good comfort food. Phantom Canyon Brewing Company is a great spot for some tasty pub fare and locally brewed beers.
Day 4: Art, History, and Relaxation

Morning: We’d dive into some culture at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College. They have a really interesting collection and it’s always worth checking out what exhibits they have.
Afternoon: A change of pace with a visit to the United States Air Force Academy. The Cadet Chapel is an architectural marvel, and the grounds are really impressive. It’s a unique piece of Colorado history.
Evening: Time for some relaxation! We could grab some takeout from a place like King Chef (classic, no-frills Chinese food that hits the spot) and have a chill movie night at home.
Day 5: Day Trip to Manitou Springs

Full Day: A short drive takes us to the quirky town of Manitou Springs. We’d explore the penny arcades, sample the naturally carbonated mineral springs, maybe hike the Manitou Incline if they’re feeling really ambitious (or just admire it from below!). We’d grab lunch at one of the many unique restaurants there – maybe The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant for something different.
Day 6: Local Flavors and Funky Finds

Morning: We’d hit up a local farmers market (depending on the day) to sample some fresh Colorado produce and maybe grab some goodies.
Afternoon: Time to explore some of the more unique spots. Maybe a visit to Poor Richard’s, a bookstore with great pizza and a really cool community vibe, or checking out some of the antique shops and quirky stores downtown.
Evening: For a fun night out, we could check out a show at the Pikes Peak Center or grab drinks at a cool bar downtown like Brooklyn on Uintah with its speakeasy feel.
Day 7: Farewell Brunch and Last Views

Morning: A leisurely brunch at a place like Urban Egg, known for its delicious and creative breakfast/lunch options.
Afternoon: One last scenic drive or visit to a favorite spot from the week, maybe just relaxing in a park and soaking in the Colorado sunshine before heading to the airport.
Honestly, the best part about showing someone around here is the variety. We’ve got incredible nature, a cool local vibe, and some seriously tasty food and drink spots. It wouldn’t just be about seeing the sights, but about experiencing the energy of the place and making some awesome memories together. I’d be all about making sure they felt like a local by the end of the week!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to my significant other. My wife. Bobbi. She has helped me move mountains for this opportunity and I couldn’t have done it without her.
