We had the good fortune of connecting with Scot Chrisman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scot, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, and I saw a real opportunity to build something that reflected my values, quality work, reliability, and community connection. The thought process behind starting my own business came down to three things:

Control over the customer experience – I wanted to create a company where clients could expect clear communication, professionalism, and great results every time. I saw gaps in the industry where those things were missing, and I knew I could fill them.

Scalability – I wasn’t just thinking about how to make money today. I wanted to build a brand that could grow through systems, reputation, and strong local presence. That’s why I leaned into SEO, referrals, and strong relationships inside and outside of the business.

Personal fulfillment – I’m someone who takes pride in a job well done. Running my own business lets me take ownership of outcomes and keep improving how we operate. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart is the level of care and ownership I bring to every project. I run my business like my name is on every wall we paint, because it is. I’m proud of the reputation we’re building in the community for being honest, responsive, and delivering high-quality results without the fluff.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I started lean, did everything myself, and learned every part of the business – from sales and SEO to production and customer service. I’ve had to deal with unreliable subcontractors, tight timelines, and the constant pressure of wearing all the hats. But I kept showing up, kept learning, and focused on building systems that could scale.

The biggest lesson? Consistency beats intensity. It’s not about doing one thing perfectly; it’s about doing the right things every day and owning your mistakes along the way.

I want people to know that Parker Precision Painting Company isn’t just a paint crew; we’re a professional service company that takes pride in helping homeowners love their spaces again. Our work adds beauty and value to homes, and we don’t take that lightly.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1 – Welcome to Parker
We’d start with a walk through Old Town Parker, stop by Fika Coffee House for a latte, then have dinner at Spice Kitchen, the food is incredible and full of flavor. Afterward, maybe catch a show at the PACE Center or just relax with a sunset walk through O’Brien Park.

Day 2 – Bike + Explore
We’d ride the Cherry Creek Trail in the morning – it winds through town and into open space. Grab breakfast at The Donut House, then head out to explore Castlewood Canyon State Park for some light hiking and great views. Dinner at Wolf Peach Public House, easily one of the best meals in Parker.

Day 3 – Denver Day
Head into Denver and check out the Denver Botanic Gardens, Meow Wolf, or a Rockies game, depending on the season. Lunch at Denver Central Market or Avanti Food Hall makes it easy to try a bunch of things. If the weather’s nice, a walk around City Park is a perfect way to wrap it up.

Day 4 – Mountain Escape
We’d take a day trip to Evergreen or Golden. Stop for a picnic by Evergreen Lake, hike part of Elk Meadow, or ride the Gondola at Keystone if they’ve never been in the high country. On the way home, grab dinner at a mountain town café or head back for a homemade dinner and stargazing.

Day 5 – Local Culture & Community
Sleep in, then check out Vehicle Vault (super cool auto museum), or if it’s the weekend, stop by the Parker Farmers Market. Lunch at West Main Taproom or Vines Wine Bar, then maybe check out a local event, art gallery, or head to Discovery Park for the fountains and open space.

Day 6 – Boulder Adventure
Day trip to Boulder: hike at Chautauqua Park, explore Pearl Street Mall, and have lunch at Zeal or The Kitchen. We’d hit Flagstaff Mountain for some great photos and head home with views of the Flatirons behind us.

Day 7 – Colorado Springs Finale
End the week at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs; it’s a must-see. If we have time, stop by Cheyenne Mountain Zoo or take a scenic drive up Pikes Peak. Dinner at Paravicini’s or something local before heading back.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to the two people who taught me the meaning of grit, discipline, and perseverance – my parents.

My dad built a life as a general contractor, even while navigating the challenges of MS with courage and grace. He showed me what it means to push forward no matter the obstacles, and to take pride in building things the right way, with skill, integrity, and a steady hand.

My mom has worn every hat imaginable: caretaker, provider, and powerhouse entrepreneur. She runs a highly successful property management company and somehow still managed to be everywhere she was needed. Her ability to balance business with compassion is something I’ll always admire and aim to emulate.

They’ve both shaped my work ethic, my mindset, and the way I run my own business. I wouldn’t be where I am without their example, and I’m endlessly proud to be their son.

Thank you both ❤️
