Denver June 2025: Aspiring Leadership Program by COHCC.
I am a passionate entrepreneur and dedicated advocate for Spanish-speaking business owners in Colorado’s rural communities. As an Aspiring Leadership Program 2025 alum, l brings both heart and hands-on experience to the work she does every day.
At the Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute (RMMFI), l empowers entrepreneurs who face systemic barriers and come from low-income backgrounds—helping them not only launch businesses but thrive in them. My unique blend of lived experience and unwavering dedication has already helped countless small businesses take flight.
“I believe in the power of community, and I’m here to make sure no one has to build their dream alone,”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Women business owners in Colorado l faced several common barriers, primarily centered on access to capital, limited mentorship and networking, and challenges with work-life balance.
A common theme is the lack of a robust support system and mentorship, which can deter women from starting or expanding a business; l research indicates key barriers for women business owners in Colorado (and generally) include unequal access to capital, biased mentorship networks (especially with male mentors), difficulty balancing work/family, lower initial capital/experience, and challenges with work-life integration, though factors like mentorship and perseverance are also crucial for success.
This journey of learning from experience and the seeking guidance give me a powerful path to growth, l transforming my experience into wisdom.
I Choose to be a mentor and leader focusing on guiding individuals to reach their potential while also driving organizational goals, blending skill development with results that involves active listening, building trust, fostering growth, and inspiring others, creating a powerful cycle that benefits both the mentee and the leader by boosting confidence, sharing wisdom, and ensuring continuous learning for everyone involved.
I earning a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and starting a community journey as an early childhood educator.
I joined the World Trade Center to get certified in CIT and I continue to prepare myself through workshops offered by SBDC to serve and continue supporting my community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Estes Park offers stunning mountain scenery, historic charm, and outdoor adventure, primarily serving as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) for hiking and wildlife.
