We had the good fortune of connecting with Dan C Bearded and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dan C, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my YouTube channel and brand would originality. I am approaching a niche in a way that has never been done before. I am bringing all of the other aspects like hard work, passion, consistency, and whatever else. However, it is tough to succeed even with all of those if you are not original and being yourself. I make content about beards. I was not the first to do this, I am the first to approach it like a teacher, with positivity, and highlighting my wife. My channel is family friendly and everyone is welcome to watch. I fundamentally believe people want to learn and I love teaching.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create videos about beards. Informational videos about the health of beards. Tutorials for the styling of beards. Reviews for the products of beards. I put out three videos a week and two livestreams a week. I have never missed in over two years. I am completely in love with the process, and that has actually made it easy. If anything, I have to hold myself back from not doing too much or being overexposed. I would love for the world to know there are positive platforms out there, those platforms can change people’s lives. Even if the common factor is beards.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them on a tour of Flint, Michigan. The devastation is mind-numbing and bring a lot of perspective to life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Pat Mcafee is a massive inspiration for me. He runs a podcast and YouTube channel. These both have been done before, but he is extremely unique with his. Pat also is bringing his people up with him. His best friend’s run the show together. A goal of mine is for my small circle to be able to retire together and create beard content for a living.
