We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica & Lindsay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica & Lindsay, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We believe the success of our brand comes from a combination of our personal experiences and our passion to give brides the best possible wedding dress shopping experience. We truly love getting to know each bride and bringing personal touches so that they do not feel like “just another bride.” When they find their dream dress, it is so fulfilling and exciting and it pushes us to continue to find ways to make it the best experience for each person.
What should our readers know about your business?
We have been dreaming about Runaway Bridal and this new in-home bridal concept since 2016. Jessica was shopping for her own wedding dress at the time, and after going to a few boutiques she decided to order some dresses online to try them on at home. She had so much fun and it made us wonder why this wasn’t an easier option. So, we decided to make it one! We loved the idea of a personalized wedding truck to make the customized experience even more unique and exciting, to save brides from shipping costs, and to provide professional services that you miss out on when shopping online. In the early planning stage, we wanted to see if other past brides had experiences that were similar to our own and found that a lot of women had regrets or wished the dress shopping process would have gone differently. After learning what made their experiences not what they had hoped, we added this to our own collection of experiences and started brainstorming ways to fill a need that we thought the bridal industry was missing. And RB was born! It may sound cliche, but one of the biggest lessons we have learned so far during this process is that it is never too late to start. If we could pass advice along to others or our previous selves, it would be to keep hustling and don’t tell yourself it is too late or that you waited too long. Basically, don’t get in your own way!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are lucky to be surrounded by incredible entrepreneurs and small business owners. Particularly women-owned businesses who are not daunted by chasing their dreams and creating their own paths. We get to work with so many unique businesses and meet the amazing people behind them. We want to give a special shout out to Jessicas parents who run their own small business and inspired her to do the same. And to Lindsays long-time friend, Larissa with We, the Light Photography who always encouraged her to go after her dreams.
