Meet Ravneet Chhabra | Co-founder: Arza Foods, fashionista and a mom

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ravneet Chhabra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ravneet, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Arza Foods is “my pandemic baby”!! I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I come from a family of entrepreneurs, and I have a degree in business management. It is so fulfilling to have something of your own, something that you have built from scratch. During the pandemic, my fashion business was completely shut down, and my children were home all the time. I started making homemade snacks for my very imaginative and beautifully determined daughter Arza. My goal was to make foods that had the purest and most flavorful ingredients and, at the same time, be easy and interesting for her to eat. This is how Arza Foods was born. Even though my venture started with a desire to see my daughter grow up healthy and strong, it transcends to every human out there across cultures and borders.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are just a startup right now. We are a women-owned business, based in Colorado, started by two friends who joined hands to bring something good and healthy into this world, a puffed rice snack bar. Our snack bars are a fit for all – kids, hikers, families, health-conscious people; and these bars are delicious. We often rely on ourselves to bear the weight of life’s responsibilities, but good and healthy food should be readily available. We are all rooted together in the same belief- it is time to come together and take care of each other. When we started making these snacks, we thought it would be easy to transition from making them at home to making them at a co-packing facility. But it was just the opposite. It was a huge challenge to get ourselves production-ready, but we did not give up. We kept trying every day, and even though most days resulted in failure, our patience and perseverance kept us going; we were able to finally achieve the results that we were looking for. We learned a lot, and that learning is irreplaceable. Nobody can teach you things that you learn as you ride on the rough terrain. Our belief in our product and our noble intentions to bring something good to the community have helped us reach where we are. We have a long way to go.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes! Definitely! I want to give credit to all the people who encouraged me and motivated me to bring this product to life. A huge shoutout to my friend and partner Thea Nalls who is the creative spirit in the business. Together we make an amazing team. To all my neighbors and friends who sampled our products and gave constructive feedback. To my mom, who guided me with her extensive knowledge on flavor profiles, and my husband, who always has my back!!
