Meet Kelli Kroneberger | Founder of Maker Hill, a modern gifting company

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelli Kroneberger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelli, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The simple answer… focus and consistency. As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get distracted or even discouraged by playing the comparison game. But what I’ve found to be a large part our company’s success is that we remain focused on the vision, what we offer our customers, and the quality of product we provide. We are consistent, day after day, to work toward making our vision come to life, rather than jumping ship the minute things get hard or we see what someone else is doing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My career path has not always been straight. In fact, I’ve done and tried a lot of things. Probably because I’m an artist, and creativity flows pretty freely throughout different mediums. But what I’ve realized is that all of those months and years spent trying new things, led me to where I am today. I am the founder and owner of Maker Hill, a modern gifting company in Fort Collins, Colorado. For me, it’s a perfect blend of business and creative, which I can’t have one without the other in order to operate at my full potential. At Maker Hill we curate beautiful gifts and gift boxes for businesses and individuals. We work with clients, large and small, to help them give better and more intentional gifts for all occasions. We’ve seen incredible growth over the last year, and I think a lot of it has to do with our attention to detail, how we source products, our customer service, and a genuine interest in helping people give better.
It hasn’t been easy, in fact some days are really hard and exhausting. But it has been a lot of fun, and I get to work with a team of incredible people every day.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would probably start the mornings with a run, workout, or a class at Meraki Yoga Studio. Then grab a coffee and empanadas at Bindle Coffee, head to Old Town to walk around, shop at Sunday Supply and have lunch at Rare Italian. If it was summer, we would probably play golf at Southridge Greens or go for a hike around Horsetooth. We would top off the night with dinner and drinks at Jax or La Buena Vida.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband. From day one of my entrepreneurial journey, he has been the source of encouragement, voice of reason, teammate, and best friend. I honestly don’t think I would be where I am without his push to keep going, to stay focused, even when things get hard or frustrating.
