We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Bohlin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I used to have little to no boundaries, and would put my clients first. I now know how that not only doesn’t serve me; it doesn’t serve anyone I’m meant to facilitate with – from Instagram followers to VIP 1:1s. Now, I am devoted, and rededicated everyday to putting myself first; it’s the least selfish thing I can do. I must fill my cup first, because I cannot pour into others when I am empty… and my work can be draining. I spend all day with people in their shadows, helping them navigate and claim back to love/light what they have abandoned and rejected about themselves. If I don’t give myself the proper self care as a mandatory priority every single day, I will be sick and tired and can help no one. I think about the balance between my work and my self care as 2 sides of 1 coin, that absolutely need each other fully present to operate.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love to talk money, business, and manifestation. As a spiritualist and occult philosopher, discussing such dense, physical-realm matters is so fun to me, because while they’re dense, they’re also highly spiritual. They’re both at the same time, and I love to observe, discuss, and play with that intersection. I’m the most proud of the communities that have formed around me. I am proud of holding such massive containers of space for the healing and transformation of hundreds, thousands even of souls. I got to where I am in my business success because of the immense support and many allies I have, physical and metaphysical, along with my warrior spirit. I never gave up, though I did quit about a dozen times. But I always came back – there was never anything else for me. My business, which is also my ministry, is something that I feel was written in the stars for me. Claiming it was intense, don’t get me wrong… but I’m not here for mediocrity. I’m here to facilitate mass awakening and healing, and yes, I did run for years from this calling. But the call only grew louder and louder, until I had no choice but to relent – the sickness that took over my life, and colored my dark night of the soul, was going to kill me if I didn’t relent. That’s how it felt, truly, and I believe that – I had to hit rock bottom, because I’m one of those stubborn learners. I usually have to learn the hardest way possible… but when I learn, I freaking learn. I overcame challenges by remaining disciplined and dedicated to my self care and spiritual practices. And a LOT of prayer.
What I want the world to know if that you CAN heal. It is your divine birthright to live a life that feels ecstatic to you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
S. Pearl St. Farmer’s Market is a fave. My best friend did visit – we also checked out the Science Museum, loved the Egyptian mummies; Food at City o City – vegetarian delights!! Watercourse Foods, the sister restaurant, is also exquisite. La Bouche wine bar is fantastic and quiet yet stimulating. I love Washington Park!! Walking there and speaking with the trees is a daily to weekly occurrence for me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My partner, Anthony. Everything that I’ve been able to do, shift, and build is because of the highest degree of love and support that he gives to me and holds me to, every single day. The strong divine masculine to my ever wandering feminine. I love you!!!
