While yes, we do get to design with the most delicate and beautiful blooms, we also always have a tool belt full of clippers, zip ties, gloves and Band aids. Event floristry is very labor intensive, from washing 50-100 buckets every week, getting up on 15′ ladders hands full of up in greenery and zip ties, early morning set up, late night breakdowns, and endless cuts and scraps on the hands. When people travel to the West they often see anglers along the rivers and streams. In general fly fishing gets a lot of attention. This gives the impression it is big industry.
