We had the good fortune of connecting with A.J. Julian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A.J., how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea just popped into my head while driving across country. I used to be a mechanic and I also owned a food truck in Boulder, I have experience with fixing almost anything but i also have experience with an unconventional/ mobile business model. I was in the process of taking over a restaurant at the time and had to shelve the idea until I returned to the front range, 3 years later.

What should our readers know about your business?
303 Mobile Tires strives to provide a convenient and unique tire service experience for our customers. We get a chance to help folks with a service almost all of us need to be safe on the road. Tires are literally the only thing between your car and the road and here in the Colorado front range, conditions can be “variable”.
Our service of convenience sets us apart and above our brick and mortar competition simply because we can bring a fresh set of tires to your house or work while your life continues on with minimal interruption.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I used to live in RINO, Denver Central Market was the go to for dinner options followed by a stroll up the alley to see the Crush Walls art adorning about 4 blocks of wall space. If the outdoors are calling and its time to work off that meal, hiking out to royal arch in Boulder is my favorite way to excersize.
The weekends are usually reserved for car shows in the morning with my lady and our rescued blue nose pitty. When I have any free time, im in the garage swearing at a 40 year old BMW and building bbq smokers.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shout out would have to go out to all the folks that didn’t do what they said they would. Life is full of opportunities to develop trust and working relationships. It’s also full of people willing to take advantage of your good nature. Had I not had the negative experiences working for some of my previous employers, I would have never been self motivated to take the leap to small business ownership. Positive changes usually come from negative events.
