We had the good fortune of connecting with A. Roche and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A., what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
When it comes to habits that helped me succeed, to be totally honest, a lot of success and skills in general are simply related to commitment, diligence, and self discipline while maintaining passion for your craft. And remind yourself that Rome wasn’t built in a day and same goes for success, skills, and talent. Nipsey Hussle said it best in proclaiming life as a marathon. Humility, patience, and gratitude will also benefit you in succeeding.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art, moreover my music is a reminder of where I’ve been and through the creative process of producing, writing, and recording I attain mental clarity. I love making music because it’s amazing to me to start from nothing, a blank FL Studio screen, to channeling a kind of energy into your decisions around producing music and then having a product to which you can relate to so intimately. I could bore you with my resume but I have an AA in Social Sciences in addition to a BA in Economics. I worked in restaurants all 5 and a half years throughout school so time management was something that developed heavily back then which ultimately benefits me now in being able to structure my creative time so that I am indeed productive. To be honest I really just want the world to know, that each and every individual matters. As human beings we need to prioritize comradery and respect one another.

Don’t ever judge a book by the cover… it’s 2024 after all.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, given my move to NC back in 2022 I have adjusted to a much slower and more satisfactory pace of life here. I desperately miss Colorado just about every day not only for my friends but for the kind of community Colorado, or at least Boulder has. Though the school campus for CU is massive the city of Boulder has so much to offer. Different kinds of places to eat (vegan… etc.), tons of open space, parks, mountain views, hiking, skateboarding not to mention the bustling famous Pearl St. The more fun skateparks are out a bit from Boulder but are definitely worth the drive and of course if there’s a vice to be sold, your demand could likely be met no matter your poison. Nothing like a mild high while hiking to the arches in Chataqua. Finish the day off with Illegal Pete’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I thank God for the very air I’m breathing above all because I’d be dead without faith. My older brother, Mom, Dad and nephew Andrew. In Colorado… Nigel and Karah Peterson, Moses, Blake and all the wonderful people I miss there. In CA, Tyler Brown, Brandon Sen, Oscar Ramos, and Joe Garret. I love and dedicate this shout out to all those listed.
