We had the good fortune of connecting with Addie Pecord and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Addie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my career in interior design working for one of the most well known firms in the Vail Valley. I gained not only an immense amount of knowledge, but I was immersed into creative and well designed jobs and gained experience that cannot be taught so to speak. After eight years of being in the interior design field I felt the desire to branch out on my own. The thought process behind this move was carefully constructed and my goal was to create an overall style that was cozy yet inspiring for my clients.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I created LA Studio & Co. I knew I wanted to directly work with all of my clients. I grew up working in fashion and home retail and what brought me the most joy was the interaction with clients. Today that is still one of my main goals. Create a relationship while designing a home my clients will love. I feel this personal connection helps my clients feel comfortable and confident in the process. If you know me, you know relationships are very important to me, so that is what I want people to know and feel when they hear of my name or my company.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I am also thankful for my family and friends who encouraged and supported my dream of starting my own business.
