Meet Adelaide Clay | Certified Nutrition & Wellness Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adelaide Clay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adelaide, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Growing up, I was surrounded by diet culture—where the focus was always on shrinking yourself, chasing a number on the scale, and following the next “perfect” diet. Over time, I realized how harmful and exhausting that mentality was, not just physically but emotionally, especially for women. When I started my career in a chiropractic office in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, I began to see health from a much broader perspective. The doctor there emphasized the whole-body approach: movement, hydration, mindset, and especially nutrition. That’s what really clicked for me.
As I dove deeper into nutrition—both through formal education and personal implementation—I saw a complete transformation in my own health. I had more energy, less bloating, fewer headaches and migraines, clearer skin, more control over my cravings and hunger, and a genuine sense of well-being that I hadn’t experienced before. For the first time, I felt truly proud of how I was caring for my body—and that shift came from real food and consistent, sustainable habits, not restriction or shame.
That transformation lit a fire in me. I knew I wasn’t alone. So many women are struggling in silence, bombarded by misinformation and unrealistic expectations. I wanted to create something that didn’t just push another “plan,” but instead empowered women with the tools, education, and support they need to feel strong, energized, and proud of their health—without obsessing over every bite.
Starting Rose Natural Wellness wasn’t originally about becoming an entrepreneur—it was about helping people. But the more I realized how much freedom I had to create meaningful programs, connect one-on-one and in groups, and collaborate with other wellness professionals, the more I saw how running my own business was exactly the path I was meant to take. It allows me to show up for my clients and community in a way that feels deeply aligned with my values: real food, real results, and real support.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets Rose Natural Wellness apart is our focus on sustainability, empowerment, and real-life application. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, I meet clients and class participants where they are, and we build from there. I emphasize simple, doable steps rooted in real food and real life. The ultimate goal is long-term wellness—not just short-term success.
The symbol of the rose is incredibly important to my business. A rose is beautiful, but also fragile. It requires patience, nurturing, and the right environment to grow. Like a rose, our health goes through seasons—some where we’re in full bloom, and others where we may feel a little wilted. Roses also have thorns, just as improving our habits can feel uncomfortable or challenging at times. But through those “thorny” moments, we grow stronger, and every small effort adds up to something meaningful. This philosophy is at the heart of how I support my clients.
Getting to where I am today has been anything but easy. Building Rose Natural Wellness from the ground up required me to step outside of my comfort zone daily—whether it was creating new programs, reaching out to organizations, hosting events, or trusting myself to lead. There were a lot of moments filled with self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion. But what kept me going—and continues to—is the mission. Helping real women feel better in their bodies and more confident in their nutrition and well-being is what makes every challenge worth it.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built slowly, through consistency, reflection, and showing up again and again. I’ve also learned that collaboration is everything. Working with other wellness professionals who share a similar vision allows me to offer more complete support to my clients, and reminds me that I’m not alone. We all rise together.
What I’m most proud of is the impact this business has had on the women I work with. Whether it’s a class participant who’s finally making peace with food, or a client who’s built consistent habits for the first time in years—it’s those moments of transformation that remind me why I started.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my business, it’s this: Rose Natural Wellness isn’t just about nutrition. It’s about empowerment, community, and creating a ripple effect of wellness and confidence. I’m here to help women feel strong, supported, and capable—because when women thrive, everyone around them does too.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Colorado for a week, I’d be SO excited to show them just how vibrant, inspiring, and full-of-life this place really is—especially through the lens of wellness, creativity, and natural beauty.
We’d kick things off with brunch at Just Be Kitchen, one of my absolute favorite spots for healthy, nourishing food that doesn’t compromise on flavor. It’s a great way to fuel up for all the fun ahead!
From there, we’d spend some time exploring Cherry Creek Trail—it’s perfect for a walk, bike ride, or just soaking in some sunshine and movement. There are beautiful parks and lots of areas to relax and reset, which is always my kind of adventure.
Mid-week, we’d take a scenic drive up to Vail Village. It’s the kind of place that feels like a cozy, European-inspired getaway nestled in the Rockies. Whether we’re wandering the charming streets or just admiring the mountain views, it’s an incredible place to unwind.
Back in the city, we’d grab a morning latte at Kunjani Coffee in Parker—such a cool, welcoming spot for a healthy caffeine fix and good conversation. It’s also a favorite place of mine to work when I want to feel connected to an uplifting community.
For an infusion of creativity, we’d definitely spend a day at the Denver Art Museum. It’s full of inspiring exhibits that spark new ideas and always leave me feeling creatively refreshed.
Of course, no trip to Colorado would be complete without a visit to Red Rocks—either for a sunrise workout on the steps (a serious bucket list experience!) or an unforgettable concert under the stars. The energy there is unmatched.
This itinerary would blend everything I love most about Colorado: movement, creativity, great food, community, and the kind of beauty that inspires you to live well. Whether you’re here to reset or recharge, this state has a little magic for everyone.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I want to thank my family. I was raised by strong, independent women who taught me the value of kindness, resilience, compassion, and community. Their unwavering love and belief in me laid the foundation for everything I’ve built and continue to build.
I also want to recognize the incredible clients and class participants who have trusted me with their health and wellness journeys. Working with real women on real food nutrition and helping them build sustainable habits is not only what drives me—it’s what keeps me grounded and inspired. Their wins, their breakthroughs, and even their challenges remind me every day why this work matters so deeply.
To my amazing mentor, Dr. Krystalyn Lowery, D.C.—thank you for leading by example. Watching you build two thriving businesses in the health and wellness space has shown me what’s possible when purpose meets passion. Your guidance and unwavering support have been monumental in shaping my vision and helping me bring it to life.
And finally, I want to give a special thank you to my fiancé. His constant support, encouragement, and belief in my mission to empower women through nutrition have made all the difference. Without his love and steady presence, I wouldn’t be able to fully pursue this dream or show up every day for the amazing women I get to work with.
None of us get to where we are alone, and I am endlessly grateful for the people who’ve poured into me so I can pour into others.
