We had the good fortune of connecting with ALEX ANGELS and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ALEX, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is everything . The thing about though is I make sure I trust the direction, not the specifics.

We all know the saying you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. it’s true.

What isn’t a gamble ? Driving to work is a risk , taking the trash out is a risk , however we take risk daily without being conscious of it and the thought of acknowledging it can do something to the mind, it can bring up fear , but it’s rewarding to get through it anyways.

Some of the biggest risk I’ve taken so far is moving to California , pursuing music, chasing my passions , networking. All things that I didn’t know what the outcome of it would be.

Having faith in how things are going to plan out even when the step by step can’t be promised is when trusting the direction comes into play.

Life is going in a direction I use to pray for
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is I’m me . We’re all unique individuals and I like to believe my journey is unlike anyone else , but similar to everyone.

I got here today by believing thats the odds didn’t dictate how my life would play out. Parents from West Africa, raised by a single Mom , and money was tight growing up. Nothing was easy , but do-able by being willing to fail. Trail and error has allowed to me to elevate and I’m blessed that’s how this is playing out.

My story is never giving up , As things continue to play out I hope it’s clear that I want to inspire. Trust the process, everything aligns in due time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Best time ever? No pressure right .

I’m big on the who , not what , so a lot of comes to mind is just gather some of my amazing , big energy , spontaneous friends and go to a private event or night out for Karaoke. Possibly go to the Star in Boulder, Rhino Art district.

I’m a simple man, we have great sport teams here , I’d go to a sport event out here. Russel Wilson trying to make the Broncos great again!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Every thing is everything , in this case there’s a collection of people that I know even a head nod, or a “you got this” meant a lot when I needed just one person to believe in me.

I give lots of credit to my brother Zay , he had me listening to beats of his and would want feedback since I was in middle school. To know that someone like me could make art in a way that could touch souls meant a lot.

Special shout out to Leila Steinberg as well, when I was in California I went to a performance work shop ran by Tupac’s old manager (Leila) . The workshop taught me have to be resilient in terms of performing and trying again even when I failed.

These days I’m just thankful to all those that believe in me and trust in their vision . Shout out to Aurora , Colorado. Learned many lessons there.
