We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Klausmeier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alicia, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?

Wow-so powerful. Believing in our dreams… imagine if everyone chose to have a dream and then went for it.

When debating about what to do with my own future, I took an opportunity to look at my own dreams and what I wanted in my life, both personally and professionally. I realized that if I didn’t believe in my dream to work for myself and support my family the best way I could, then I would never have the future that I so often dreamed about.

By starting Dream Accounting Solutions, not only was I supporting my dream, but it has allowed me to support other small business owners who are living their dreams. One of the best things we get to do is have the opportunity to help others believe.

What should our readers know about your business?

I started Dream Accounting Solutions as a virtual bookkeeping and accounting firm who works to support small business owner’s living their dreams. I believe that business owners should not have to do it all and we can all use a little support along the way. We. love to be a part of the team collaborating with business owners.

I have been lucky enough to grow my team with a group of people that have the same mission and goals. At Dream Accounting Solutions, we love being able to take the stress and anxiety off the shoulders of the owner. Additionally, we pride ourselves in working closely with our clients to educate and advise them about their business financials.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
While there are some fabulous places in the Denver area, I would have to take them to explore my hometown, Colorado Springs. Besides the beautiful and famous tourist spots like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak, we would have to head to Old Colorado City for some local boutique shopping at Eve’s Revolution, Stella and Beau’s, and Elle Bleu’s. Just around the corner for lunch on the patio at Monse’s for delicious papusa’s and margaritas. One of the days would be spent. at Sunwater Spa in Manitou Springs enjoying the natural cedar hot tubs. The trip to the Springs would not be complete without brunch at The Pantry in Green Mountain Falls, drinks and dinner at Cerebrus Brewery, a trip to Ivywild to hang on the patio, and enjoyable walk through our neighborhood in Rockrimmon. We might even be able to get a Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball game or a Switchbacks soccer game in. Finally, a trip to Colorado requires a trip to the mountains and some true Colorado outdoor adventures. Breckenridge is one of my favorite places for a few nights to do some mountain biking, hiking and fishing. The gondola is a great way to travel between the town and Peak 7 or Peak 8 without needing to drive. Pizza and games at Eric’s Downtown or taco’s and drinks at Angel’s Hollow to finish the trip off.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be the person I am today or have experienced my success without the support and love of my husband Dan, my kids, Ryker and Evy, my parents, in-laws, and all those friends who we call family.

I also have to shout out to my “other” family members who have been there with me along the way, growing, guiding, mentoring, and loving. They are my BNI Strategic Alliances family, and of course, my Dream Accounting Solutions family.
