Meet Allison Shoemaker | Aesthetician & Spray Tan Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Allison Shoemaker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allison, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The success of my brand comes from my clients satisfaction with their skin, lash, and tanning treatments. I provide quality individualized treatments with exceptional ingredients so that I can deliver amazing results. It is important to me that clients look and feel their best and that their care is customized to their personal goals and needs at Radiant Glow Aesthetics.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been in the beauty industry for 11 years now, starting out as a makeup artist when I finally realized my true passion is in aesthetics and airbrush tanning. I truly love my clients and making them feel and look their best every day. I’ve spent the years since focusing on aesthetics continuing my education so that I deliver the highest quality treatments available.

Educating my clients and understanding them inside and out is what sets me apart from other aestheticians. I am very detail oriented and I believe everything I do should be customized to each individual. I am attentive to clients needs and want to guide them in their skin care journey so that they can continually see positive changes and achieve confidence and success with their skin.

There are so many treatments and products out there and I think a lot of people can become exhausted when trying to find something that will finally work for them. I take pride in recommending the correct services and home care regimens based on clients specific needs. I believe in non toxic, effective, and medical grade products in my treatment room as well as for my clients home care.

My passion for what I do propelled me to open Radiant Glow and share my passion and love for what I do with clients. There are a lot of other spas out there but when clients come to me I want them to feel that they have found their skin care home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was coming to visit we would absolutely have to partake in the beautiful natural wonders of Colorado. I absolutely love the hike to Lost Lake near Idaho springs. The hike is a bit challenging but the views along the way as well as the gorgeous mountain lake view at the end are entirely worth it! I would also definitely have to take them to a Red Rocks show! The perfect acoustics combined with the natural wonders of the amphitheater make for a mesmerizing experience. Another fun thing to do would be to go to a rooftop yoga class that many venues periodically offer here in the city. It’s so peaceful doing yoga with the sunrise or sunset and seeing the gorgeous city views. If we wanted to relax I always enjoy kicking back at Cheesman park. It’s a great place for a picnic and lounging in the sun.
As far as food goes my absolute favorites would have to be Borolo Grill in Cherry Creek, Sushi Den, and Jacks on Pearl. The quality and service is absolutely amazing. Some other favorite and more casual places I like to eat are Thai Monkey club, 7 Leguas, Aung’s and Levan Deli.

As far as cool night places to check out I really enjoy the service and atmosphere of Death and Co. especially the cherry blossom room upstairs. The room is covered in them, they are even on the ceiling. It’s definitely worth seeing. I also enjoy going to comedy works downtown. It’s a cozy comedy venue and the comedians have my cheeks hurting from laughing every time I go.

It would also be fun to check out live music at the Mission ballroom or at Levitt pavilion they are both it’s a great and venues to see artists. There are so many fun places in this city and we are truly blessed to have amazing live entertainment and dining.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friends and Family have definitely encouraged me to start my business and I thank them for believing in me and recognizing my talents and passion for what I do. I also have had some really amazing mentors along the way such as Gina Still and Christine Hruska when they worked with me at Glow Facial Bar. Gina took the time to train me meticulously and helped me develop the amazing technique that I airbrush tan people with today.

Christine was so knowledgeable in skin care, ingredients, and facial techniques and she worked with me daily to improve my own skills and develop the foundation of my Aesthetic practice. It also pushed me to pursue higher educational training in aesthetics and perfect my craft. Both of these women own successful businesses now and I think because of that I was also inspired to open my own Spa and create the environment my clients deserve.
