We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Kissel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, how does your business help the community?
By owning a small business in Loveland, we are able to host events in which we can give back to our community. This past weekend we co-hosted an invite to help get dogs adopted. We LOVE to give back.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I worked for Qdoba for around 13 years in various positions – starting from a team member to a District Manager. While Qdoba was a great company and I had wonderful bosses, I knew my passion was people and beer (not burritos)! Being able to lead an amazing team in this environment has been a dream come true. My dad is a retired civil engineer who used his background to make consistent, great beers!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our families are what helped make Sky Bear Brewery & Pub happen! The inspiration for our brewpub comes from my dad and I who have a love for craft brews, my mom and husband who only drink Coors Light, and my sisters who only drink seltzers and cocktails! We wanted to create a place truly everyone would find something they would love. Our families helped in renovating the space and a ton of support along the way!
