We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Cronin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance? Let’s just say it’s a work in progress!

Looking back, it’s crazy. I used to juggle two small businesses, and Rita Rose Events was just a side hustle. There were days that blurred into nights, and burnout became my middle name.

Finally, I hit a wall. It wasn’t sustainable, and I realized I was missing out on life with my husband and our fur babies. Taking that step to focus solely on Rita Rose Events was scary, but the best decision ever.

Now, finding balance is still a challenge. I used to feel “lazy” if I wasn’t constantly on the go. But I’m learning that taking time to relax and recharge isn’t laziness – it’s essential! It allows me to be a more creative and focused planner for my amazing clients.

Balance for me is about prioritization. Rita Rose Events is my passion, but it can’t consume me entirely. Now, I schedule downtime, make time for date nights with hubby and chillin with my cats. It’s a constant dance, but I’m definitely learning the steps!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My approach to wedding planning is all about you! I don’t believe in cookie-cutter celebrations. Instead, I focus on what makes my couples tick, what truly sets their love story apart. We dig deep to find what makes them unique, what they’re passionate about, and then I design a wedding that reflects that beautifully. It’s about creating an unforgettable experience, not just a pretty party.

What I’m most proud of is my perseverance. Getting to where I am today with Rita Rose Events wasn’t easy. There were moments of self-doubt, questioning if my vision and approach would resonate. But I pushed through, fueled by my passion for the wedding industry and the belief that I have something special to offer.

That “something special” is authenticity and connection. Rita Rose Events isn’t about trends or one-size-fits-all packages. It’s about forging a deep connection with every couple I work with, truly understanding their story and weaving that into the fabric of their wedding day.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Believe in yourself and your vision. There will be doubters, but don’t let them dim your light. The wedding industry is full of talented planners, but there’s only one Rita Rose Events, and that’s what makes me so excited for the future.

I want the world to know that Rita Rose Events is more than just a planning company. It’s about creating soul-stirring celebrations that reflect the magic of love. So, if you’re a couple looking for something genuine, something that speaks to your unique story, then let’s chat! I can’t wait to hear about your love and turn it into a wedding that will take your breath away.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
They say a good host knows their city like the back of their hand, and for your week-long Denver adventure, I’ve got the itinerary locked and loaded! We’ll kick things off with a Denver classic, Sushi Den. Best Sushi in all of Colorado. Next, we’ll head to Federal for a dim sum adventure. Steaming baskets overflowing with delectable dumplings and buns? Yes, please! As the sun sets, we’ll head to Linger, a rooftop bar with unbeatable city views and seriously creative cocktails.

Denver’s art scene is popping, and Meow Wolf is ground zero. This immersive art experience is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, a mind-bending wonderland that will have us both buzzing with inspiration. But Denver isn’t all city lights. We’ll escape the urban jungle for a day trip to the mountains. Hiking or snowboarding, depending on the season, we’ll soak up the fresh air and epic scenery. The evenings can be filled with wandering through charming neighborhoods, popping into local shops, and grabbing drinks at cozy pubs. By the end of the week, you’ll be a Denver convert, ready to conquer the trails or explore the city’s hidden gems – just like a local!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This one’s for my rock – my amazing husband! Building Rita Rose Events wouldn’t have been possible without his unwavering support and encouragement. There were late nights, endless planning sessions, and moments of pure doubt, but he never wavered in his belief in me. He deserves a giant shoutout (and maybe a long, relaxing massage!) for being my biggest cheerleader. Thanks for everything, babe! You’re the best!
